10/10 Exceptional
Polished, well-outfitted, but perfect for families
We waited till last-minute (compared to most!) to book a trip to NYC between Christmas and New Year's and couldn't be happier to land a spot at the Mint House at 70 Pine. Knew it was a long shot, but were hoping for a kitchenette/kitchen for our family to save money and provide downtime during some meals.
Our Superior Studio Suite had a kitchen, and there was a grocery downstairs. One night we brought food home to cook from there, another we got food at a grocery in Chinatown and cooked it, and we ate breakfast in the room each morning -- dining table for the win. Bathroom was clean and spacious.
Plenty of closet space and big mirrors and lighting spaced strategically so multiple people could get ready at the same time. Staff was friendly and responsive, housekeeping was great, and we loved having a record player and records in the room. Even though it's called a "studio" there's a heavy curtain that creates a queen bedroom.
Very close to Wall St. subway station, 9/11 Memorial, Trinity Cathedral, walking distance to Staten Island Ferry, and plenty of food within easy walking distance. Reasonably priced, too. Loved it!
