We had a great time here. Agree with a lot of the other reviews. Super easy check in with door codes. Parking is $20 each 24 hours, I think first 2 hours are free. Easy electric charging with PowerFlex including what looked like fast chargers. The train blows its horn a little bit when coming by the apartment, but with our earplugs in at night we slept great. The Airbnb provides a pair of earplugs for free. The studio bedroom has sliding doors that were basically like blackout curtains. We had trouble locking the back balcony door but reached someone by phone within minutes and they walked us through how to lock it. Keurig with coffee pods provided. Tons of restaurants and a Walgreens within walking distance. Stanford short drive away. Amenities are great, accessible with a key card. Highly recommend this place. Better option than local hotels for the same price. One of the most beautiful luxury apartment buildings I’ve seen.

The outdoor heated lap pool was just what I, as an avid swimmer, needed on vacation in December.

Everything was comfortable and lovely. Standouts were great parachute linens, extremely comfortable beds, pillows and sofa, outstanding amenities from pool , gym, hangout spots and hot tub to umbrella borrowing service. Liveable and beautiful private and shared spaces. Surroundings are also excellent: proximity to Caltrain, lots of convenient restaurants, cute shops, Trader Joe’s and a Walgreens within three blocks walking distance. A quick drive away is all other shopping, nature walks and more.

The place is great as well as the location. The only problem was that the sofa bed was dirty with residuals of food and there were no linen for it

Very nice amenities. The location is very convenient. The CalTrain is very close and quite loud. Locale did many things to alleviate that. I really enjoyed my stay and will be staying here in the future.

These are beautiful units (there are many). Maybe a year old. Nice appliances and amenities, washer and dryer. Nice beds, linens. Great kitchen. The common areas are amazing, expresso machine, fridge in kitchen, library, lounge with fireplace and mini grand piano. Outdoor kitchens, fireplaces and heated pool. Walk to local restaurants. Locale is very responsive to email questions. The parking garage has lots of room. Easy in and out. Parking overnight is $ 20 max to get out. Street parking is limited, so you'll probably be using the garage. Almost all the units face the Caltrans tracks. Which cross the intersection at Oak Grove, requiring the train conductor to blow the horn. Which you will hear starting about 0530 on workdays, 0700 on weekends. We were there Thanksgiving week and have a normal sleep schedule, didn't bother us much. If you like to stay up late and sleep late, this may not be a good fit for you. But I thought the place was great!

Excellent location. Very clean and comfortable apartment. Facilities perfect. I stayed more than a month each time with Locale at this place several times . Strongly recommended . The only issue that I want to comment is the Car Parking cost which was not very clear and not properly explained . It is important for long stays if you are having a car . Thanks for the stay in general.

Clean and spacious place to stay. We knew expect the noise of the trains, and we didn’t find it bad. Check in was a bit tricky—would recommend arriving during working hours so someone can help if needed.

Great place to stay

Great location, nice apartment and walking distance to many sites/restaurants. Noise from train wasn’t that bad honestly, but if you think it’ll bother you, it might. It’s certainly there.

Beautiful facilities, top location, very comfortable rooms Likes: The facilities, specification and location are all fantastic. The bed was ridiculously comfortable - we've almost never slept in such a comfortable bed. The spacious rooms and sleek decor were lovely to live around. it was ultra convenient and lovely to have such big, new washer/dryer facilities for keeping our clothes clean. The team brought clothes hangars in the second apartment we stayed in - and responded well to request for replenishment of supplies. thank you for this!! Pool and hot tub and outdoor kitchen facilities were AMAZING. Also, met lots of nice people in the building. Very welcoming environment. Very interesting people living there, lots of great conversations. Dislikes: The first apartment we were placed in had sheets that looked used. There were no clothes hangars in the closet. The garbage can was hidden away in a hallway closet. Fortunately, our host moved us immediately - and we were placed in an apartment that was spotless and had clean sheets. We didn't like having only paper towels on hand for cleaning etc. Since we were paying such a premium rate, we felt having a dish cloth in the kitchen would have been a suitable touch. Also, the paper towels are not great for recycling/environment - so we felt disappointed that we had nothing to use to clean up except the paper towels.

Nice, modern facilities with a great location. Easy walking distance to downtown Menlo Park, with CalTrain nearby and Palo Alto/Stanford a short drive away.

I booked this as a hotel and was a little surprised to see that there were ear plugs placed next to the beds. Turns out my room was directly next to the train which comes every ~10 mins with bells and horns all through the night. If you’ve ever seen the movie My Cousin Vinny, it was that but worse. Don’t ever stay here and risk losing an entire nights sleep.

The place is nice and clean but disappointed about the train noise all day. Likes: I like the amenities and how close it was to restaurants and shops Dislikes: I didn’t realize that it was right next to the railway so you will constantly here the train honking from 7am to 1am…

Absolutely loved it. Hosts were super responsive. I think what I didn't grasp before was that Locale operates Airbnb's out of several units within a larger luxury apartment complex -- so it feels very residential. There was a fantastic gym, a great pool area, a large outdoor area with fire pits and comfy chairs, a lovely lobby with piano, and a common kitchen with complimentary coffee and a fridge stocked with seltzer waters. We loved our stay and look forward to coming back!!

The 2 bedroom apartment was very clean and well appointed. For the most part it was quiet, although the apartment right across the street from the train tracks and the train horns were quite loud. They started at 7:30am and stopped around 11:00pm. So not a problem for sleeping, and not continual. Worked okay for us. The keypads, both the enter the property and the room were a little finicky, but we always got them to work after a couple of tries. We did not use the parking, but it was available. Check-in/out was completely automated - I don’t think we talked to a person at all. That worked just fine for our purposes. The site is mixed development, so there are dining options close by. The taphouse on site was nice and we enjoyed the outdoor seating on a pleasant evening.

There is one drawback of the location which is just across a single lane street from the Caltrain tracks. If you are from a large city like myself you can adjust to the noise of trains honking and passing but if you are used to a peaceful neighborhood you may want to see if there are units in the same complex that faces away from the tracks. Otherwise the facilities (gym, pool, bbq pits, bonfires, free coffee and cold drinks and Sunday breakfast are fantastic and great value for money. I wish the host had communicated to me the availability of food and drinks at the common pantry which I had to find out by myself the first time I stayed there. For six long weeks I wasn't aware I can get a nice coffee anytime and there is great pastries/hot food Sunday mornings in the pantry where you can stay and mingle with other residents.

Very nice apartment and building in general. Only major downside is the rail line nearby with LOUD horns and engine rumbles from early morning til late at night. If it's not the trains, it's the level crossing alerts. However, the apartment itself was spacious and lovely. The amenities were wonderful and the Locale staff were very responsive. Weird thing to note if you're staying long term - they wont allow any package deliveries. The company they have partnered with only had locations miles away. Overall, decent value for the location and the quality of the place. Would stay here again.

Great amenities. Caltrain does come every 5-15 minutes on weekdays and hourly on weekends. No package deliveries allowed.

Locale was a great place to stay with top amenities such as 24/7 access to gym and pool use during listed hours. Train facing but wasn’t a problem to sleep. Paid for parking first night but spots outside the building are good to park Sundays and holidays.

I truly cannot say enough good things about this property. I work remote for Stanford & come to town about 4x a year and will only stay here from now on. I used to stay at Nobu, but wanted to try the Menlo Park area & im so glad I did. This is a true gem! I felt SO safe with a code needed to access the building & a room code as well. The room was gorgeous and didn’t leave me feeling cramped like a hotel does. This location had a beautiful pool & hot tub with amazing cabanas. A library with a golf simulator, grills, a restaurant, tap house, the list is never ending. I have never been so impressed before. The location is also walking distance to numerous locations such as 2 gas stations, restaurants, shopping centers, and Safeway. It’s also a 9 min Uber ride away from campus. To those worried about the train. Yes, it’s loud. However, it stops running around midnight and doesn’t start again until maybe 6-7am. They also give you ear plugs & have white noise machines. Neither my 10 year old nor I lost any sleep due to it. We slept through it uninterrupted every night. The customer service, friendliness, and helpfulness is top tier. I cannot recommend this property enough. I’m going to look for their locations in other states as well! Nothing compares, trust me! As a note, There is only a TV in the living room, I wish there was one in a bed room, but it didn’t bother us. Neither of us turned the TV on, she just likes to sleep with it on at night.
