Good location and extended stay experience
Located in the lively Central Avenue neighborhood, this hotel provides a good place to stay, especially for an extended stay. The rooms that we have had here offer the basics -- a comfortable bed, a dresser, sofa and TV -- as well as a reasonably stocked kitchenette with a washer and dryer. There is a pool and there are bikes for use, Don't expect much in the way of other services, however. Other than a staffed front desk (24/7) and valet (during the day), nothing else is offered. None are needed, however, given the number of dining options in the area.
We had a little problem with the front desk. The desk attendant agreed to hold our bags during the day after we checked out. When we came to retrieve our bags, no one was at the front desk. We called the number at the desk. But whoever was supposed to be at the desk had forgotten to take his phone; the number we called was a phone sitting on the desk. The desk attendant showed up about 10 minutes later. Apparently, he had walked off site to get some lunch.
