We have stayed at Ace hotel in London, NY, Palm Springs and now also, Los Angeles. Like all location is Ace, it’s solid. But this m is for sure the most average hotel experience of them all. We managed to get a good deal at Hotels Tonight that compensate the over all experience considering we didn’t pay their standard price per night. Overall, all rooms at Ace hotel is pretty standard, what you pay for is the whole hotel concept. Just so many Details they failed on, from; Our room was not ready by the check in time at 3pm, didn’t access our room until as late as 6pm. When we asked for a late check-out to compensate the receptionist said no. Drinks at the roof are made very poorly, take a beer or wine to be safe. The service down the bar and restaurant is also very poor, lack of attention to details. We tried to order some food by the pool, but sadly it arrived cold. When we send it back with the waiter and actually tried the food it was taste less. Rooms are ok, however the cleaning poor and didn’t show up to clean until 7pm one eve just when we got back to our room. With this said, there are nicer rooms in the area which is more value for your bucks.
