Very "trendy" well located for downtown, a bit loud, a little inconsistent.
I stayed here on a business trip for 5 nights. I was very excited when I looked up the history of the hotel. When I nearly missed the entrance. It was just delineated by a neon sign that said Hotel. The checkin process was easy, and no issues. Each room uses RFID and it was easy to get in.
The elevator situation is very frustrating. There are two elevators and they are all very slow. For such a large building. As a result people take the service elevator, and employees take the regular elevator because they can't wait. Also the non-guests take the elevator the roof (which is beautiful but it can be a while before getting in and out of the building). I got scolded for using the service elevator by an employee.
The hallways are very creepy. Dimly lit, but reminded me of the shining. Cool art deco, trendy but a little unnerving.
The rooms are minimal. Concrete everywhere, nothing on the walls except for a cork type board. For a new hotel. no USB outlets which was weird. Lots of booze food and snacks to buy though.
The upstairs bar and pool were awesome. Bartender Erin and others were great. It is one of the hotels biggest assets.
This is a solid downtown choice. I wish the elevators were faster, less noise during the evening, USB ports in the room. Maybe even a uniform from the hotel staff (Everyone was dressed grungy.)..
