Edit: Giving one star back, since management did end up reaching out after my review.
Many complaints, big ones are TERMITES IN ROOM and a BROKEN SHOWER ON ARRIVAL. Complained to front desk, was told management would contact us, never received a follow up. Details to follow:
Check-in process is a hassle, you have to fill out a multi step form just to get your room code. They're supposed to send an email to you to fill out the form prior to arrival, but if you book through a third party such as Chase Travel or Expedia, you never get the email to begin with. When I arrived, their attitude was poor, as if I was chasing trouble by not filling out the form when in reality it's their email system that fails.
After arrival, the rooms were decent, but be aware that it's concrete rooms with low beds, they seem to be going for a rustic/modern look. Decent, but concrete floors walls and ceilings is definitely not my personal taste.
When we wanted to shower in the evening, our shower was broken. First it was very hard to turn on, we had to turn the knob so hard that we thought it was broken at first. Then, after getting the water running, it wouldn't turn off (constant leaking/dripping) luckily there was onsite maintenance that the front desk could call. We asked if we could get a new room so that we wouldn't have to wait for the shower to be fixed, to which the front desk replied that we could only get a new room tomorrow?? So of course we ended up asking for our shower to be fixed. The maintenance engineer was very kind, and even fixed it for us during his lunch break despite us telling him we could wait.
Laundry room was also out of service while we were there with no prior notice.
Oh, and there were TERMITES, see the photo
Complained to the front desk on checkout, they told us the management would send us an email which we never received.
Suffice to say I will not be booking with this hotel or another Kasa property again
