I stayed here for 3 nights. The location is good, but this was by far the most disorganized hotel I’ve ever experienced.
When we arrived, there were no towels in the room and even the kettle was missing. I used their virtual concierge to request towels—it took 20 minutes just to reach someone, and then another 50 minutes of waiting after they said towels were on the way. I called again, but no one answered. I ended up leaving the hotel without a shower after a long trip. Later they messaged me apologizing, saying they had no towels available, and even suggested I buy my own with a $40 gift card. Where exactly are you supposed to buy towels in downtown LA? Towels eventually appeared in the room late that night, along with the gift card as “compensation.”
The next morning, we discovered there was no hairdryer. This turned into another ordeal—24 hours passed before we finally got one. On the third morning, after being told one was coming, I waited another 50 minutes before someone brought it up. When I explained that it wasn’t acceptable to promise service and then make me wait nearly an hour, the staff member just shrugged and said, “no worries.” Completely unprofessional.
Other issues:
1. There’s a nightclub upstairs blasting reggaeton until 1:30 a.m. The room even has a sign offering complimentary earplugs, which says it all.
2. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, thin, and felt like an old futon.
3. The bed didn’t even have fitted sheets, so by the middle of the night the sheets had come loose and I was basically sleeping directly on the mattress
4. Only one elevator was working for the entire hotel, and it could take up to 10 minutes to reach your room. Every guest I rode with was complaining about it.
5. The elevator requires you to enter your room code in full view of everyone, so other guests can see the code to your room. That’s a huge security concern.
The only positives were the price and the location, but the constant disorganization, lack of basic amenities, and unreliable staff make this hotel absolutely not worth it. I would not recommend staying here.
