STILE DTLA was a good value for my stay, clean, and close to the place I was visiting. The room was a decent size for one person, but would be cramped with two or more. The room was clean and had a cool industrial look to it. With various check-in codes, I felt safe entering my hotel and room at night. I felt my privacy was respected during my stay. The coffee shop in the lobby has friendly staff, and makes tasty coffee. STILE was easily accessible by Uber, so there were no problems with drop off or pick up. When I had a question, the virtual front desk (by text) was friendly and responsive.
However, the hotel is in a dangerous location. I did not leave my room after dark alone. It was very noisy, with traffic, sirens, music, and chatter from the street. The hotel provided earplugs, which helped sometimes, but couldn't block out loud music the second night.
In general the place was a good value, but be prepared for the location.
