When tech takes over a property like the Ace, it's terrible. Want to check in 30 min early? That'll cost you $17 while every hour prior grows ever more expensive. You get what you pay for. Staff is lovely but the area has gotten incredibly run down post COVID. Go elsewhere or better yet don't stay in DTLA.

Stayed for one night for a concert at the Orpheum. Really convenient location. Definitely felt safe inside from the code protected entrance and code needed to access the elevator. Wish I could’ve stayed longer to take a look at all amenities, but I was definitely happy with the stay.

The room was fine but a little creepy. It does get loud at night but they do their best to provide you with ear plugs and a white noise machine. The reason for my review is the room was unbearably hot even though the A/C was put to “cool” and the sheets/towels were not changed once during my 5-day stay. It’s fine if you’re on a budget, but definitely unsatisfactory otherwise.

I absolutely loved it. Just as pictured. Was coming down for a concert at the Orpheum, and its just a walk away..so convinient! One thing I learned from reading the comments was that there really is no shower curtain, and we can request one before arriving. Kasa was quickly to respond and provide one with no issue. Felt very safe! Kasa provides us with a pin to access the building and access elevator. No parking provided, but theres many parking garages and lots available in its surrounding, would definitely recommend searching for one with in&out privileges on SpotHero, I stayed on one available on 835 S Hill St which was a street behind. Would definitely recommned, and would be back if in the area.

The location is convenient. However, the hotel has a rooftop wine bar that plays loud music until 2 a.m. on weekends, which can be disruptive. Additionally, there is constant noise from Broadway, including loud cars and people, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep. If you care about getting enough rest during your stay, avoid this place.

I’ve never booked a hotel DTLA Los Angeles, always near the coast line but it didn’t disappoint and the rooftop was very fun and enjoyable.. the room was very comfy I felt right at home and at peace with my own space. I couldn’t even hear my next door neighbors through the walls so felt like total privacy. The housekeepers even came to clean my room one day and give me new sheets and towels, which was surprising but cool. However if you don’t want to be surprised by that because they did open my door I wasn’t expecting just put the do not disturb flyer on the outside of your door and they won’t bother you or surprise you you’re entire stay.

Sehr schönes, trendiger Hotel. Coole Einrichtung und Zimmer - allerdings würde ich die Gegend nicht noch einmal für einen Aufwnthalt wählen, da kann aber das Hotel nichts dafür. Sehr lange Wege um zu den Hauptsehenswürdigkeiten von LA zu kommen.

I didn’t like the room. It looked like a prison cell. I also didn’t like it when it was the Ace Hotel. I didn’t like having to send a picture of my license and other information to get a code. I didn’t like having to park in a paid lot because the hotel no longer had valet parking. The amenities in the room were less, making it seem even more like a prison cell.

This place is old and dirty. Shower and “bathroom” gave me the chills disgusting. They charge close to $100 for later check out, no room service, slow to respond, felt so uncomfortable, dirty didn’t even want to take a shower. Worst experience ever do not book also they charge extra if you want to check in before 4 be ware !

Beautiful inside, great amenities, adorable studio style rooms, we loved our stay. Not quiet, not great parking but we just did the lot next to hotel so we could still see the car. Somehow still loved it despite those factors, will definitely stay here again whenever possible

This hotel is in a convenient location if you are going to the Orpheum for a show. There is public indoor parking across the street for $30. Unfortunately, we were on the 13th floor and the rooftop bar was located right above us. After our event, we came home at 12:30am. They have earplugs in the room next to the bed. (That should have been a hint) The DJ was hopping until 2am with our room vibrating with the base. When we called the help desk, they said they would ask security to tell them to tone it down. That didn't happen. I expect city noise, which can be drowned out with white noise. A strong base vibrating the room was on another level. (UNTIL 2AM!) Then when we got up at 0800, there was no hot water. I would not stay here again. We were also denied a late checkout and when I complained in the morning regarding the DJ base noise until 2am and no hot shower, we received a "so sorry".

Staff was very good. Making a good use of technology i also liked But i am thinking how it got 4 star rating. This is a one star hotel, definitely good given ratings might be fake or purchased. Please see the image and decide. Its a good hotel, if just staying want to pass the night by sleeping but for romance its not. Believe me things in the room can spoil your evening. I am sorry to give the tough review about this. I may change in future if see improved

You can't say there's a parking facility if it isn't your parking facility! I would not have booked it had I known that. Yes, there are parking garages near by. But they are not *your* amenity and so should not be listed in amenities. It's like saying you offer free wifi but what you mean is the area gets good reception but you are on your own to get online. I would not have booked the place had I known "Parking facility" listed as an amenity meant you can find parking near by but we don't know the rates, rules or time restrictions.

100% stay here, insanely cheap , safe location, beautiful sunny large private room, extremely responsive. I was on the west coast for two weeks and stayed in probably 4 or 5 hotels, this was the best one by far (and I’m comparing that to a five star Hilton canopy in San Francisco and another 5 star Hilton in Portland). I’m a single woman who was traveling alone for the first time in my 20s and I couldn’t have been more at ease.

Great communication, concierge was very friendly and helpful 24 hours a day. Downtown LA is loud but KASA was great with providing ear plugs and even had white noise speaker in room. Room was industrial retro chic, bed was super comfy and room provided water, tea and coffee. Lots of coffee shops nearby and tons of nightlife if that’s your cup of tea. Amazing price for being in downtown Los Angeles, I’d definitely stay here again.

You can't say there's a parking facility if it isn't your parking facility! I would not have booked it had I known that. Yes, there are parking garages near by. But they are not *your* amenity and so should not be listed in amenities. It's like saying you offer free wifi but what you mean is the area gets good reception but you are on your own to get online. I would not have booked the place had I known "Parking facility" listed as an amenity meant you can find parking near by but we don't know the rates, rules or time restrictions.

A prime location in downtown LA. Right in the middle of everything. Rooms and rooftop were an amazing vibe. Had a great little staycation.

100% stay here, insanely cheap , safe location, beautiful sunny large private room, extremely responsive. I was on the west coast for two weeks and stayed in probably 4 or 5 hotels, this was the best one by far (and I’m comparing that to a five star Hilton canopy in San Francisco and another 5 star Hilton in Portland). I’m a single woman who was traveling alone for the first time in my 20s and I couldn’t have been more at ease.

Great communication, concierge was very friendly and helpful 24 hours a day. Downtown LA is loud but KASA was great with providing ear plugs and even had white noise speaker in room. Room was industrial retro chic, bed was super comfy and room provided water, tea and coffee. Lots of coffee shops nearby and tons of nightlife if that’s your cup of tea. Amazing price for being in downtown Los Angeles, I’d definitely stay here again.

I would definitely stay again, it’s close to public transportation and you can get to and from many places easily. Cool looking area in the old theater area/fashion district.
