I arrived on Sunday night and noticed the lights above the bathroom sink were flickering, so I reported it and was told maintenance would come the next morning. By the time he came the next morning, all of my outlets stopped working (my phone was less than 10% and I needed it for GPS/traveling), the bathroom light was not working, and the fire alarm was beeping once a minute. By the time I was done with my work day and got back to the room, everything was fixed except the bathroom light. For my troubles, they offered and upgrade, which I took. The upgraded room was spacious, had a tub, and was much better than my previous room. I would have given my stay 5 stars, except for my last night there. It was Thursday night, I was exhausted from my business week and feel asleep pretty early. I woke up at 1AM to this extremely loud bass noise from music. I was upgraded to the 12th floor, so I couldn’t wrap my head around how I was hearing this noise so loudly. I sent a text to the customer service line, to find out there was a rooftop party going until 2AM! The level of noise was so unbearable and so frustrating so late in the night. Especially since I had to get up early the next morning for a travel day. I really hope they got enough money from that private rooftop event because I’m sure I’m not the only one that was upset by that level of noise. They did credit me for the night, but it’s more the fact that they didn’t seem to see the issue to begin with.
Things I liked about this place were the contactless check-in/check-out, the cafe area, the rooftop area, and the keyless doors that required a passcode instead. I also liked the free face masks, ear plugs, and sound machine that were provided in the rooms. The vibe of this hotel was modern industrial which I thought was pretty cool.
Other things I did not like were how cold the rooftop pool was, the fact that the bar was not open a single day during my stay, and how there was no microwave or iron in the room.
