The room was run down, the carpet was stained and dingy, the furniture is littered with water stains and is flaking apart. There’s a difference between grunge/art deco and uncleanliness. As a frequent hotel stayer, as well as familiar with industrial apartments, this was just not satisfying whatsoever.
The cups in the hotel room were dirty and the door to the balcony was not latchable, which is concerning given the area that it’s located in. It’s not located in the art district, it’s located on the edge of the fashion district, and the “front desk staff” told the customers in front of us that it wasn’t a safe area.
They refused to offer even a partial refund, as they would not be able to reasonably fix the concerns that we brought forth to them within our stay. After a lot of back and forth, they issued a refund for one night, which I will say is better than nothing. The individual that we messaged back and forth with was very nice professional and nice though. They did offer to try to place us in a different room but I just can’t imagine it’ll be a different experience in a different room.
I don’t recommend, don’t let the photos lie to you. We didn’t stay for more than an hour of our 3 night stay.
