10/10 Exceptional
I had a great stay at The Clyde in Portland. The location is prime: it was really easy to walk around and explore the major sights downtown, and I was able to get to the hotel easily via public transit, even with heavy luggage. Many wonderful food options nearby as well. The room was more spacious than I'd expected, with lots of neat little touches, like the record player and vinyl collection and the assortment of nice teas. The space was clean, the bed was super comfortable, and I was even able to check-in early. For light sleepers, it's probably worth noting that it *is* an old building, in a central part of the city — so the walls occasionally rattle when large trucks or the light rail rumbles by — but the hotel offers earplugs and a white noise machine, and I found it manageable. Highly recommended and would 100% book again.
