We’re a couple of Brits who have just had a superb week-long stay at The Clyde. We got messaged our check-in instructions ahead of time, and the self check-in process was swift and super easy. The hotel is great value for money, right in the middle of downtown, easy to get to everywhere (inc airport) with public transport, the building and rooms have character and are spotless, and the staff we encountered were super friendly and helpful. We let them know in advance that we had just gotten married and we were surprised to find a cute card, bubbly and chocolate in our room on behalf of the staff, which was a lovely thought. Cafe next door makes v good coffee, and the burrito place just past the cafe is brilliant (and great for hangovers). The only warning id say to fellow travellers are the homeless people outside who unfortunately seem to be on dr*gs and will approach you - but like any other city, just keep your head down and walk on. It’s no fault of the hotel ofc! U guys were gr8

Area is surrounded by a lot of homeless. Which could be tolerated if there was near by parking available.

Cozy hotel in the historic downtown. Loved the little coffee shop on the first floor and the amazing restaurants, bars, stores, bike rentals and any and all one may need for a weekend in Portland that were less than 5 mins away. Also room had an enormous tub which I did not expect, but was rather pleasantly surprised!

Cannot cannot cannot recommend more highly. As someone who's cheaped out and stayed at Airbnbs for most of the last decade, spending practically the same amount for...my own room with good wifi and all necessary amenities privately attached to my room and actual human beings helping to check me in and a big air conditioned common area and a coffee shop with good food and all centrally located?? A codified security system?! I've literally unlearned the incredible value of a good hotel until this weekend. Will def be back on my next trip. Brit and Lars at the front desk were great too <3

This was a cool hotel though I’ll say it felt more like a hostel than a hotel, which I was totally fine with. Rooms were cool; very industrial - don’t expect anything fancy, that’s not the vibe here. The staff doing service and cleaning the whole place were really kind and attentive. I didn’t mind the virtual check in/front desk situation especially because there’s a phone number you can text at anytime and they were extremely quick and responsive and helpful every time I reached out. Bed was comfortable, fridge in the room to store leftovers if you’re like me and want to try all the vegan food in the city. The handwritten note upon arrival was really cute and sweet, I’m saving it as a keepsake from my first ever solo trip. Which brings me to the area - I didn’t do too much research on the area ahead of time because I wasn’t aware of the heartbreaking drug crisis the people of Portland are experiencing. I’m a firm believer that being homeless and/or struggling with addiction are not indicators of violence or being a threat to anyone, but as a solo female traveler the many people shooting up and smoking substances that definitely weren’t weed right out front did make me feel uncomfortable walking by myself early in the morning or at night. I didn’t plan on renting a car but I did end up doing so because I was nervous about walking around by myself so much. That being said, I didn’t have a single issue with anyone. The crisis seems to be impacting people across the city, and it’s sad the city isn’t doing more to provide resources and support to those people who need it. This hotel is not to blame and can’t do anything about it, hence my 5 star review. Just something to keep in mind mostly for solo female travelers. But had I enjoyed this area I would stay here again but I prefer the vibe of the Hawthorne area a bit more.

I enjoyed my trip and stay in Portland. This hotel is such a gem, a historical building located downtown, with great staff, and a view from the room. If I visit Portland again, this hotel will definitely be my pick again!

My fiancé and I had a great time staying at The Clyde Hotel with Kasa! We really appreciated everything being a walking distance and how responsive the host was to our questions! We also love the uniqueness of our room and the staff were so kind and friendly! Would definitely come back here when we visit Portland again

Very strange how the shower is not in the bathroom, but the steam from the shower is kept from the living area

Great hotel for the price. Stylish, spacious rooms, on edge of downtown, very efficiently run.

Great staff!

Our stay at the Clyde Hotel was amazing! We had an amazing time and enjoyed the feel of our room. Parking was a few blocks away but they have space to unload in front. If you aren’t from the city, it’s a bit overwhelming at first to get settled but it was very nice to have a great place to stay!

Good location and very clean. They don’t have kitchen so we weren’t able to cook, is really cool. There are a lot of homeless around

Loved the amenities, spacious shower, and great little additions like tea and toothbrushes… etc.

Everything about the hotel physically was cute and nice. However, if you are energetically sensitive, I would not recommend staying here. I’m not sure what this building used to be but it was overwhelming from the minute I walked in the door. I was only there one night so I just dealt with it but wow.

This was the most adorable unique place and it's right in the heart of the Pearl District!! Everything was perfect!!

The staff was extremely responsive to all requests. The room was super cool and I found the location to be perfect to all that I wanted to do while in town. Highly recommend…I’ll be back!

Perfect for our short stay in Portland. Used a parking app to book a spot for the week just a couple blocks away, which worked well and was a reasonable price. Very cute hotel and walkable area. Luggage storage was helpful for our later flight.

The Clyde Hotel was nice had a nice steam punk vibe to it. I was disappointed by the lack of parking or comped parking. Note that the receptionist is almost never there, but you can find most information you need online. There is no microwave in the apartment. There is how ever a gigantic cold press if you're into that. No availabe ice machines, have to ask the receptionist. The ac unit does not work that well, the room was running a little hotter. Other than that had a great vibe, excellent location for exploring downtown

Great stay and location. Close to shops and transportation. Likes: I liked the fixtures and the coffee shop on the ground floor. Dislikes: No microwave in the rooms.

I was in Portland for 5 days, 4 nights, and The Clyde was super cozy and a welcome place to return to after a long day of exploring. The environment and vibes of the place were immaculate and I will definitely be coming back next time I’m in Portland

Kasa is conveniently located near many highly recommended spots, including POWELL’S books, Thai Peacock, and Screen door. The hotel itself is very upscale, modern, clean and stylish and absolutely worth the price I paid. Great value and an excellent location!

Convenient to downtown. Fun place to stay but lacking amenities of a hotel.

Awesome staff, real nice room with great bed and pillows, well styled spaces and a cool downtown location. We were there almost a week and would stay there again for sure!

It was absolutely amazing. I loved it. I think the very few complaints i have is there are some fees that were not very upfront. Like there is a <30 fee to insure that you don't break anything which isn't a lot of money but it definitely sucked. I also think that the parking situation sucked but to be fair to them, Portland parking sucks. I don't think there is anything about this particular hotel that was bad compared to others. It was relatively cheap, its near a ton of places, it was safe, clean, and comfortable

Nice atmosphere, good location!

We loved our stay for a late night in Portland. Had everything we needed with waters to drink and a fridge provided. Private room. The only issue was there was air conditioning but the unit did not get any colder than “67 degrees” on the thermostat, which felt about 72-75 degrees in the room and did not provided as much cool relief as anticipated from the summer heat. Aside from that we enjoyed our stay and would consider this stay again for the ease it was to check in and check out. The coffee shop attached was also quite delicious to try in the morning.

I stayed with my partner for a few nights and it was an amazing experience. The instructions were clear and simple and we had no issues with checking in or making it to our room! It was also awesome that they could hold our luggage (since we landed before check in) while we walked around! Room was very clean and comfortable for the two of us! everything is really do-it yourself and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay! would definitely stay here again next time i’m in portland!
