The Clyde is a great place to stay
I have stayed several times at this point and every room has been great. Love the atmosphere, rooms are cozy with big windows.
I’ll start with the negatives, as everything else below is nothing but praise for The Clyde. The building is old, so expect it to be a little noisy: creaks and footsteps will be heard. Again, older building, the elevator is slow. They hardly bother me and the pros vastly outweigh the cons. Now that that’s out of the way…
Was hesitant about using the Shared Bathrooms, but it works surprisingly well. As long as you’re up for a little walk down the hallways to use the restroom in the middle of the night, I say try it! Otherwise they have traditional rooms with bathroom attached. Beds are comfortable. Every room has a great vibe.
Staff is great and accommodating. Virtual Front Desk has been a smooth experience every stay.
There’s a coffee shop right next to the lobby. Multiple convenience stores nearby (MA & PA Market is almost always cheaper). Cheryl’s on 12th is a must try; Vegetable Quiche with Cheesy Hashbrowns and hot sauce is my personal fave.
