Wonderful stay, would definitely stay again

I don't usually leave reviews while I'm staying at a hotel, but this place really amazed me! You get so much value for the price. The room is comfortable, CLEAN, and well apointed. I love the little touches like the bedside radio, free coffees and teas from the cafe downstairs, and free waters, coffee and tea in the room. Tip: put your waters in the minifridge as soon as you arrive (I forgot to do this, lol). I was in one of the rooms with a shared bathroom in the hallway. It seemed like the bathrooms were never in use, I didn't ever have to wait to use it. Bathroom was clean and private. There were plenty of soft towels in the room to use during my stay. The checkin process was seamless... no waiting at the front desk. They send you your key codes a few hours before checkin. It was different from what I'm used to, but worked out great. More hotels should do this. One word of warning though, it's an old building with what antique, sometimes squeaky, hardwood flooring in the rooms and hallways. Soundproofing technology in the late 1800's was not what it is today. I am not particulrly sensitive to noises while I'm sleeping, but if you are you might need to use the earplugs provided in the room. It wasn't too bad, but I did notice a difference compared to newly constructed hotels. That being said, this place exceeded all my expectations, is well run, and the location couldn't be better. Will definitely stay again if I come back to Portland!

This is my third time staying at The Clyde and it’s fantastic every time! The AC in our king suite was malfunctioning so they promptly shuffled us around, provided a discount and were absolute gems the whole time! I love this place; the vibe, the aesthetic and the people…I’m obsessed 😍

Nice, central spot around many restaurants and close even to Powells book!!

Amazing location, yummy coffee, cozy stay, and lots of friendly humans. Likes: Aesthetic, cozy, and the coffee shop was so good! Dislikes: It was very hot in the room, I would say the corner unit 328, at least needs an additional fan or ceiling fan.

Great service, clean, and full of character. A quiet, vibey little spot in the heart of Portland. Will definitely come again.

Likes: Loved the location and convenience of check-in/out. The price was such a great deal for how cute, clean and comfortable this place was for me as a single traveler.

Great stay!

This spot is located in the heart of downtown which makes it an excellent place to stay for anyone looking to explore what Portland has to offer. It’s only a few blocks away from a load of amazing places to eat, bars of all kinds and other quirky spots Portland has become famous for. Kasa made check-in/out an absolute breeze, and the room was immaculate. The extra amenities were very much appreciated, and our stay could not have been better. Highly recommended spot which we’d love to stay at again.

Walking into the lobby I knew it was going to be great. It felt inviting, comfortable and was a well thought out balance of historic hotel vibes and a modern cozy design aesthetic. My room was the same! Ill just say the spaces made me happy. All the details from the art to the way the furniture was arranged made me want to stay and hangout at the hotel even though there is so much going on in the area. The hotel had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Ive already recommended the hotel to several people and Im looking forward to booking there again for my next business trip. The coffee shop connected to the lobby had awesome breakfast sandwiches and delicious coffee.

Great stay

I had great time at The Klyde. I love that the building is historic and over 100 years old it just brings such an appeal to me. Everything was clean and the $10 credit for the cafe next door was a nice touch, they even held my luggage after my check out. The only issue I did have was that when i first arrived at night at around 11 PM I had issues checking in.. I never received the email with my confirmation code so i was stuck in the lobby for over an hour with the security and was texting & calling the Kasa support. They weren’t responding to my texts and I was on hold for a long time until I got help from an agent, they had the email sent to my email. Other than that everything was perfect the room was really cool and staff was super friendly. I even left a note in the lounge area in one of the cabinetsz

Cozy studio with all the essentials available, super easy check-in, and very responsive host!

Cannot recommend this place enough! The location is walkable to so many things, including all public transport to get further away. The staff is amazing, welcoming, more than accommodating, made excellent restaurant recs, just can't say enough! We stayed in the king suite which was enormous! Comfy bed, plenty of linens (and more for the taking in the lobby if you need them), quirky vibe, corner room with giant windows that actually open. My teenage daughter had a good point....there aren't screens on the windows so if you are with small kids, just be aware of that. Teenager slept on the giant couch and said it was very comfy. In full transparency, if you are expecting luxury, this is not the place but it's super clean and very comfy!

This is an insanely great location if you want to be close to shops, restaurants, bars, etc. The hotel has all your basics covered. The attached coffee shop is so nice to have available. We went to their HH daily, $5 wine pours, can’t beat it. Great variety for room service options. Parking was very easy to find in the same block. They even left a kind birthday gift for me. 10/10 would recommend!

Pros- The location was awesome, close to many restaurants and bakeries. Check in was easy. Room was clean. Loved the layout of the room, and made me want to read a book. Cons- There were coffee beans in the room but no coffee machine. Homeless seen in the area. Tap in the sink was leaking.

Amazing Service and Rooms

We had the perfect stay here. Between the location, the staff, the amenities, everything was just right for what we needed.

The bathroom light did not work. All the outlets were loose. The vanity light was very dim, worked correctly once. The faucet dripped the whole time. The walls edge very thin. You heard things throughout the hotel in other’s rooms.

We had a fantastic stay here. The price was unbeatable and we weren't sure what to expect, but we loved the hip vibe, cozy lobby, and convenient location. The room was large as well. No breakfast is offered but we received a ten dollar credit for the café next door, and it’s a legitimately good café. Location is convenient and the area is good; it's right by Powell's Books. The front desk is sometimes unstaffed but there is a help line that you can text or call 24/7; we had no issues with this approach. Parking is not included but you can reserve a spot on Spothero in advance. Definitely would recommend!

Stayed last month and again this month for work and plan to stay here each time I come out to Portland. The location couldn’t be better, the rooms are quiet, and the free coffees from the shop attached are the absolute best.
