8/10 Very good
Stayed at the Clyde Hotel for the first time. Booked a double full room which occupied our party of 3 people.
Pros:
-our room was much bigger than I expected, it had fit all 3 of us comfortably. The room had AC, lots of areas to plug our devices, a tv, fridge etc.
-super clean beds, suite bathroom. I was super surprised at how clean the shared bathroom was too!
-cute lobby and loft hang out area, the two leather chairs in the lobby were comfy
-location was convenient, we even walked to the Moda Centre (25mins away). Great for enjoying the nightlife and food stalls Portland has to offer! Its close to Powell Bookstore too!
Cons:
-everything will rely on you having access to some form of internet/cell reception to attain the various codes. When your travelling, you may not have cell reception, but it will be crucial if you decide to stay here. You need to check in via an email link they send 2 days or so prior, then they will provide you a code for the building. They will send your room code 30 mins prior on the day of your reservation.
-we were given a code for the room 30 mins prior, which will make you assume you can then go and access your room BUT, we received a text that our room was not finished being cleaned, so we had to wait an additional 30 mins.
-I had requested when I first booked weeks prior our reservation, for an early check-in/access to our room because we were in town to attend a concert which we needed to get ready for after having gone on a week long road trip. Its a moot point requesting, see the bullet above, you're likely going to have a delayed access to the room anyways.
-no parking
-windows were difficult to pull open, having 2 guys who were constantly farting, i almost died a few time
Misc Notes:
- DO NOT PARK at Lot#61 (a block behind the hotel), lols even the parking lot attendant warned us of people who will steal any belongings left in your vehicle
-BUT DO go to the parking lot which Kasa recommends: Brewery Blocks Parking. Its about 2.5ish blocks away, but definitely less sketchy and feels more secure
