I'd Stay Again The Clyde was perfectly located for my first trip to Portland, and all-around just right. The staff was *super helpful, thoughtful, and kind. It helped make this one of the most fun and memorable trips I've had in a long time!

Perfect stay. Would book again! I loved how I was able to contact the host with no problems, and maintain my stay without having to check in with a physical person. Thank you so much

Enjoyable. A nice place to come home to after long hours of adventures in the area. The communication from the hotel was very good and clear and concise. The staff on site was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean and well taken care of. The room was comfortable and suited our needs perfectly. I really liked the lobby and relaxing area above.

We had an outstanding experience at the Clyde thanks to Crosby and Kylee! Like a couple of IDIOTS, my partner and I accidentally booked the wrong dates for our stay, and Crosby quickly stepped in to fix everything, getting us a room for two of the three nights and matching the price we had paid for the wrong trip. She made what could have been a stressful situation completely painless with her professionalism, kindness, and efficiency. She did not hesitate to do the right thing! Kylee was equally amazing the next day (we had to switch rooms due to availability). She took the time throughout the day to check in with us and assure us that the room swap would happen while we were exploring Portland. She remembered our itinerary, and when we got back to the hotel, asked us about how our day had gone and was genuinely excited that we were enjoying the trip so much! That personal touch meant so much and really set this hotel apart. Both Crosby and Kylee went above and beyond to provide exceptional customer service. Their friendliness, attention to detail, and willingness to help made our trip our most enjoyable hotel stay ever! We will definitely make the Clyde our preferred hotel when we visit next due to how easy they made the stay and the genuine kindness and enthusiasm they showed. We truly appreciate everything they did and hope they're recognized for the incredible job they do!

Charming, Shabby Chic Vibes Two Blocks from Powells City of Books If you're looking for a hotel with personality, you'll find it here. This is a charming, no-frills place with some beautiful woodwork and a definite shabby chic esthetic. The staff are very cheerful and helpful, and there's a great coffee shop (with wine and pastries) inside.

Our secret spot, don’t tell/tell all your friends Always our spot. Automated at times-check in, but only in a helpful way. Employee connection there too, enjoy seeing the same people working. Love when we have the place to ourselves for reading and writing, hanging out but ultimately an amazing communal style space. Feels refreshing too when busy and full.

Easy, hassle free. Early check in and didn’t charge me. Great neighborhood, walking distance to fun places like Powells Books. My room was more spacious than expected! Such a cool place can’t wait to stay here again !! Love the vibe of the hotel

If you’re coming on a girls trip do not recommend! Was in a fairly sketchy area and no parking (have to park on the street no vallet. Didn’t feel safe, only when security was there. The photo booth also charged us double which is inconvenient. This is not a hotel experience. Amazing communication with online messaging.

Good stay in downtown Portland.

I was a very cute boutique hotel. Felt like I just walked into Oregon. Amenities were great! virtual desk was very helpful

Stay was decent. Kind of smelled like urine but maybe it’s the homelessness that is in front of the building.

This was a great and affordable place to stay. I agree with many of the other, if you stay here, remember that it is historical and so the AC is not as strong as something modern. But they do have fans on site so make sure you request one of those if you run hot. And because it is in the cities, remember that it will be wild sometimes at night and there will be unknown sound, but they do provide your pugs and white noise machine that helps. Overall great stay friendly staff, and very helpful to all be requested.

Rooms are okay, when we got inside there was this odd smell, you eventually get used to it. Photo machine took my money like twice, staff was responsive, how were you have to pay for your own parking. But I might be wrong since on my last day someone told me to return garage card back before leaving, I had no idea of and I think it was just easier for them to say they were sorry for the confusion.

The double room was just a single-sized room with 2 double beds crammed in. The sink was in the sleeping area and there wasn’t a chair.

Staff was amazing! So helpful in helping us secure an early check in for the room we had requested. Friendly and they followed up with us personally. We will be back.

Stylish, updated and fun Great spot for a solo trip. Had everything I needed, was updated, clean, and stylish. I especially appreciated the convenience of checking in via phone, key code to doors made it easy not to get in and out quickly and the tokens to grab a coffee on the hotel was a nice touch. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel was amazing staff was very nice! Air conditioning worked the room was small but very worth it! I highly appreciate them being able to hold our luggage before checking in! Bathrooms were kept very clean! Even not being attached to the room! They don’t have parking but there is a parking garage dow the street with security! Which was also good! Highly recommend staying here!!!

We love this spot because it is one block from Powells and has easy access to buses, trains, and the streetcar. The room is cozy and has all the basics. I loved the new amenity this time of tokens for the café-- the coffee there is excellent and the staff is always friendly. Staff at the Clyde are also available and helpful. We'll definitely come again.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Clyde Hotel with Kasa. The location was easy to find and, while it was a little farther from public transportation than I expected, it was still very convenient. Every major transit option was only about a 4 to 9 minute walk away. The hotel is also just steps from Powell's City of Books, which is a dream if you're a book lover, and it's right across the street from a ramen restaurant and a movie theater, making it a great location overall. As a solo traveler, safety is one of my top priorities when choosing where to stay. Even though I was a little nervous at first, I ended up feeling very safe walking around by myself, even at night. The woman working at the front desk during my stay was incredibly kind, friendly, and informative. I realized afterward that I forgot to ask her name, but she was the real MVP and made my stay even better.

Great place for a staycation or just a night out. Will revisit again. So conveniently located.

Just okay Likes: Easy check-in. Great location. Dislikes: Not entirely the hotel's fault but the people in the neighboring room were extremely loud. And with no staff present after hours there was no one to address it.

The 2nd stays the best. Great trip, unusual deco, great staff. The neighborhood is perfect. There was everything one could want in walking distance. Fine weather too. I had a great time. This was my second stay.

I am tired of these glorified hostels that are disguised as boutique hotels. The room was very basic. But the decor was black floors and walls, and very low watt lighting. There were five different lights in the room and in order to see anything, you had to turn all the lights off. I tried using the clothes steamer, but it was dropped one too many times and leaked boiling water all over the floor and my hand. The hotel staff dropped off another steamer at my door… But that didn’t work either. I tried to tell the front desk but both times but no one was at the desk either time. The walls and the doors are very thin so you hear everything that is going on in the hallway and in the rooms next to you and above your head. This morning before checkout between 8 and 10 AM, whoever was in the room above me sounded like they were preparing to enter the Irish dance competition. When I tried to express my frustrations with the Desk, I was greeted with apathy by the kid who probably couldn’t have been more than 26 years old. They have a self check process and self checkout process, which is convenient, especially if your flight is late getting in… But there’s no one at the desk from 6 PM to 9 AM the next morning, so it was impossible to have any questions answered by a living person. The location is great, but I probably would not stay in this hotel again.

Great accommodations, great vicinity, all in all great tours. Enjoyed my stay.
