downtown san diego is awesome. its dense with things to do, see, and places to eat. the hotel was a quick 5-8 minute walk to any restaurant or coffee shop you might want to go to. my boyfriend and i found a breakfast place (G street & 6th), no wait, great food, great service. the restaurants in the gaslamp are all excellent as well. the only downside is that the hotel is downtown, but you know what you’re asking for. there is little to no free parking. there are lots nearby you can park at overnight for up to $25, with homeless encampments next to your car. nothing happened to my car, but you never know. the hotel itself is cute, clean, and the bed is comfortable. it is not quiet, though. you are right above the street. the a/c unit also kept turning off, making sleep a bit uncomfortable. san diego usually isnt hot but according to locals, they were experiencing a heat wave (80+ degrees), so we needed the a/c! overall, i had a great visit and the hotel was very convenient.
