If you are solely looking for a place to sleep at night, this Kasa is will do. Unfortunately we did encounter blonde hairs on the mirror (neither of us are blonde ha), and a massive cockroach in the hallway as well as some small stains on the sheets. The roof top had a good view, but was not very clean. Nevertheless, the room had its own a/c unit and we appreciated the luggage storage. Very close to Petco Park. Rooftop access, but no working fire pits so bring a sweatshirt and a blanket at night.

Delightful hotel for independent travelers. No fridge or microwave in most rooms and no elevator. The room was quite small but I actually enjoyed it as it was beautifully put together and very clean. The ac unit was difficult to access and perhaps a remote would’ve been helpful or something so I didn’t have to move the bed each time and contort my body in order to adjust the settings each time. A bit humorous but not all that convenient. I also needed to work from the room one day and since there was no table and chairs it made video call meeting a bit interesting. I’d stay again if it were a shorter trip and I didn’t need a working surface.

I love how cutesy and homey this hotel is!! I personally didn’t find it too noisy but if you do there are ear plugs and eye masks provided! Had a blast and an amazing stay, would definitely come back!

the place is in a good location and easy to walk to downtown. the room I had was really small, there's no stage for luggage in the room, had to hang my shirts over the tv... also, the plumbing is really bad, every time someone in the house takes a shower or flushed the toilet the pipes sound horribly loud. so if you want a quiet place with lots of space this is not for you. of your ok with small rooms, noisy environment but close to downtown this is a great and reasonably priced place

La ubicación, limpieza y atención muy buena, NO ME GUSTÓ que por el precio no tengan sus instalaciones hidráulicas en buen estado, la llave del LAVABO no estaba atornillada y no cerraban bien sus llaves lo que ocasionó que hiciera ruidos tremendos en la tubería que no dejaban dormir durante la noche y en el día también seguía el problema, DEBERÍAN ARREGLAR esos detalles tan simples para aumentar su calidad

The place we were giving was nothing like the pictures sink was in the room with us it was much much smaller and there was basically no natural lighting from the window when talking to host he helped us get into a new room but was very slow to respond once we were all ready to move it took them an hour to give us new codes when we gave them the whole day to get the room ready and switch all the information over leaving us all packed and sitting in the room waiting. Place was in a walkable area which was nice but I would not stay again due to all the inconvenience and misinformation

The Davis was clean, the team was responsive, and the access to downtown was great. We would definitely stay again!

Great location. Clean and comfortable spot with in walking distance of the Gaslamp distract. Much to do. Only complaint would be the parking. The meters can be over priced during certain hours so be aware. However, my issue is with the city. This stay was great.

This place is a disaster. No parking and no parking advice other than a flyer at the front desk. The location is on a urine-soaked corner, and once you figure out how to pay to park on a street where there is no parking from 3am-6am during the week for street sweepers, you then can try to use a secret code to get in the front door. Once you figure that out, you come inside and nobody is there to greet you. My ROOM KEY didnt work. While someone tried to fix the door, i needed to shower and leave . . . while he was there. I had to move my car to a standard parking lot for another flat fee BUT that only would apply until 3:45am and expire so I would have to move the car that night again. I went to my event and came back at 9:00pm and (1) the room code still did not work, and (2) once I was given another special room code, (2) the TV wouldnt work. I called the general "650" number that they give you and a woman told me to unplug the TV and reset it . . . but that didnt work. NOTHING WORKED INCLUDING THE ROOM KEY AND I STILL NEEDED TO MOVE MY CAR AND THEN HOPE TO GET BACK INTO MY ROOM IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT. This was an absolute disaster and I wound up going to. my car and leaving for another hotel. This almost ruined my visit to San Diego and was shameful. I respectfully request a full refund.

Very comfortable and easy to get into. Was straightforward with instructions and responses when asked about anything. Overall a great stay.

The online check-in process was clear and easy to navigate. When we arrived, the room was hot and humid, despite the air conditioning unit seemingly running on the coolest setting. We had to get to a dinner reservation, so we left and anticipated the room would cool down. When we arrived back after dinner (4ish hours later) our room was still significantly humid and much hotter than the community areas. We went up to the rooftop to check out the fire pits but none were working. We were uncomfortably hot in our room all night. Glad to only have had one night to stay!

Great place and great area to be in! We were scared we weren’t going to be able to find parking, but there is plenty of street parking! And everything is walking distance! Definitely recommend this place!

Very affordable and convenient. No staff makes it cheaper.

The parking here is tricky and expensive. But overall close to many restaurants and only a 10 min walk to Petco Park.

Overall it was a good hotel. My room was on the first floor at the corner of two streets. The local baseball team was is in the middle of a series so it was frequently loud between 10pm and 1am at night with people on the street. I didn’t mind but it did wake me up a few times. I did have to kill two friends (cockroaches) while I stayed there. I am not from the area so I am not sure if this is a hazard of staying in an older building. I would consider staying again but would request a different room.

The room was very small. Requested additional linens and request was never granted. Found cockroaches in the shared kitchenette space.

A really great room/hotel in a mediocre location. Great value--would stay again. Likes: I love the digital login process, the building design, the layout, the room, the huge comfortable bed, the wooden floors, the rooftop deck, and the self-service lobby. I enjoyed actually not interacting with anyone to have to check in or out. The building itself, and the room itself, was honestly excellent and a tremendous value. Dislikes: The location is walkable in San Diego, which is convenient, but the area immediately around the Davis is unfortunately full of homelessness. I am a large man so I feel fine walking here from other parts of downtown, but I wouldn't subject my wife or daughters to it. The room was very loud, the street was just outside the room and all night long I was hearing the cars, speeding motorcycles, homeless people talking or yelling, etc. They know this...they provide earplugs and a great sound machine which I definitely used to help me sleep.

Nice place This place is nice but it is loud. They do provide ear plugs and eye covers which really helped. Locator is convenient and easy to get to around town. I will definitely stay again. Nice rooftop area as well.

La experiencia en general fue muy buena, en cuanto a nuestra habitación todo muy bien, el tema es en la sección donde había la zona de café y microondas para consumo del huésped, estaba infestado de cucarachas es una sugerencia que mantengan más limpia esa área si quitamos eso nuestra experiencias fue muy buena, excelente ubicación, y práctico todo el tema electrónico para check in y check out

Great experience

The place is great. Super clean, well adapted and price worthy. Since we got a room on the first floor and windows right next to the sidewalk, (saturday) the early hours of the night were a bit noisy but it was all good; ear plugs were provided and as the night went on, everything felt right.

The properties pipes made a constant loud noise!! It happened anytime someone used the water which was all the time! We couldn’t sleep from the noise it was a never ending sound! If you stay downstairs you’ll hear the people in the alley. Rooms are very small as well ;( overall place 5/10 location isnt bad.

Overall, really enjoyed our stay. We were on the second floor and for the most part, was very quiet. Was in a good location-close to fun bars, restaurants, and coffee shops. The only issues we had were the room got very hot despite there being a window AC unit and the rooftop fire pits did not work.

The room had the stains on the nightstand, but other than that, it was pretty clean the one thing that really threw me off is that the entrance to the room was on the outside that should’ve been description. I guess when you book a room, it made me feel a little uneasy as I was traveling alone a little bit. Also, it took forever to get the access code to enter the building once you scan the QR code to access it. It’s not instantly that you get. I had to call customer service and then I got it but when I got there, there was a homeless guy outside so that didn’t feel so safe, especially when it took forever to do the check-in part. It’s a cute little place.

Luckily, my stay was quick. The room looked and felt clean. We were having issues with our toilet which was running nonstop. We tried toggling the handle, and when we contacted the front desk, they said they would send someone to look at our toilet since it would only flush once every hour. We were afraid of using our toilet and tried to stay out as long as possible and leave as early as possible so we can use outside toilets. I asked to be moved, and no one would answer that request. The person never showed up and they let me know they would not be able to fix this issue durring my stay. Which is fine but why not move us into a different room. They gave us a refund that was much less then a night stay but I was so fed up with them that I could not fight anymore. If you luck out and not have any toilet issues this location is fine. Parking is a hassle and there is a lot of homeless people. I wont be booking again but for the right person this can be a good space. Please be aware this is a no staff hotel and you have to deal with someone over text ONLY.
