Very chill spot around everything I need to go to

There was no staff on property. Room was very small and liquid soap had fungus growin in bottle. Horrible place though safety was good.

Easy check in and very clean. Perfect for a short stay and in good location in downtown San Diego

Unit was clean and as described in photo. Close to the downtown area. Clear instructions on how to check in and check out. The con of location was finding parking and the traffic that would pass by tends to be noisy.

It took the water pipes over and hour to quiet down after showering. Room was good otherwise. But I must warn you if you're in a hurry to check-in forget it!! It's all computerized checking in. There is nobody at the desk.

This is a very great spot to stay at an awesome and reasonable price!

Amazing location downtown with easy walking to shops and restaurants. Very clean room with amazing staff, the amenities on the rooftop weren’t working but the staff said they should be up soon.

It was a good location and that’s about all it was. Wasn’t worth the money, it’s all completely virtual and there’s no one to help you. The walls are so thin you can hear everything. Our bathroom door was broken and the faucet was dripping and making a God awful sound while we were there and it only got worse while the water was running in other units. They fixed the door on our last night there and said they fixed the faucet but the video below was right before I left.

Ideal for a very quick stay Likes: Lovely hotel with good quality fixtures and fittings. Very helpful friendly staff. Dislikes: Seems they compromised room size and comfort for quantity of rooms. I was very surprised at home small the room was. So small, the air conditioning unit is pressed against the bed, not allowing air circulation.

Start off with the smell, it was unbearable and it got progressively worse in the night. Our room smelled liked dirty mop water. The location isn’t bad plenty to do within walking distance. It’s very small and a bit uncomfortable. If you’re in and out sure might a good place to rest. But wouldn’t recommend for long term stays.

This place is a hidden little gem. The one major thing that I know people mention is that it is not quiet. You are right next to the street and hear EVERYTHING. if you are a light sleeper, this is not the place for you. If you sleep like the dead and nothing could wake you, congrats you found a perfect place to stay! This is in walking distance of Petco park and downtown San Diego, about a 10 min ride to the Zoo, Balboa park or the airport. The location is amazing! It is an older building with cute charm and character. If you need to talk to personal, well this isn't the spot for you. Everything is done via text and email. There is no staff there to check you in, you do it all with a code that is sent to you. So if you're like me and the less people you interact with the better...once again you'll love this place. They even have a little coffee/tea bar in the lobby for you. Oh and that noise issue...they give you ear plugs in your room as well to help you with that. So once again if you're looking for a charming stay in the heart of downtown. Look no further...but don't forget the ear plugs.

It’s not acceptable for you to rent a place for 4 people without a dresser in it!

This is a great boutique hotel with modern amenities. I saw a lot of negative reviews online but that was not my experience. There are a lot of homeless drug addicts in the neighborhood but they are not at the hotels front door. The noise level is just traffic. No loud partying outside. The walls between rooms are a bit thin but no one was particularly loud. The rooms are tiny! The bathrooms are gorgeous. The place has a 1930s vibe from the bathroom sinks to the lamps. I loved it. This hotel has no on-site staff. Everything is done via passcodes and texts

perfect for a girls trip- had just what we needed except for an ice machine but the rooms and downstairs is so cute and even though it’s right in downtown we still felt pretty safe! it’s def loud outside but the clubs are down the streets so we had a blast! perfect for the price! No parking on site but we didn’t have too hard of a time finding a spot to park (for cheap/free) within the block!

Did not match the photos of the listing at all.. Our view was of an outside staircase. Shower was too vintage for my taste.. Check in was easy, ac did not work at all.. We will never go back

Perfect spot for a weekend away with my boyfriend! Walkable, great rooftop, very small but worth every penny! Very communicative host!

I didn't "stay" at the property, I can't sum it up as the place simply was not accessible for me. Likes: Nothing! I didn't even check in. Dislikes: No elevator; no humans anywhere to help an old lady with a cane and a large bag up the MANY stairs to second-floor roomns.

Beautifully decorated lobby and entry area in an historic building, and the bathroom was gorgeous! Fantastic communication - clear instructions, timely messages, very responsive! The step-by-step check-in instructions with pictures was SUPER helpful! Coded entry was easy to use and made me feel safer! The room was smaller than I expected (luckily I was there by myself -- not sure where we would have put a second suitcase!) but well appointed -- water, snacks, even charging ports, ear plugs and eye masks, and nice shampoo/conditioner/body wash! Located close to Gaslamp district but also close to a large area of homeless folks and the police department, so it was uncomfortable to come in alone at night. Once inside, though, I felt safe and secure and it was surprisingly quiet.

Great spot for a quick trip!

It was a nice cheap stay for a weekend trip. Parking can be a little tricky but other than that I really enjoyed my stay and the beautiful, comfortable design of the room.
