This little gem of hotel is perfectly located to experience the Nawlins vibe, close to Bourbon st, bars , food, nightlife. It's older but has a nice groovy vibe to it, our room was clean and was street level, noisy but we did not mind, came here to soak in the nightlife. Staff was friendly and helpful with the local layout, pool and hot tub are ok, would definitely come back here.

Very nice place. Close walking distance to French Quarter, Tram and night clubs. WiFi was good but take your own computer. The one in the lobby is so old it would not connect to the Internet. Breakfast was a bit sparse, Danish, fruit and yogurt. Some boxes of cereal would have been nice.

Steps away from all of the live music you can stand, and a tasty assortment of New Orleans fare. A short walk takes you to the hustle & bustle of The Quarter, the artists of Jackson Square and the unforgettable experience of Cafe du Monde. The Garden District and other local hotspots are a short ride away.

I'll never go to another hotel if/when I come back to N'awlinz. Centrally located, and far enough from the debauchery of Bourbon St to be...well...perfect. #goldilox If you want to experience a comfy bed, an inviting, doting staff, all for a very reasonable price enveloped by music almost 24 hours a day, this is your place. Like a previous poster put it - I wanna lie and rate this place as dreck so people stay away when I need it!! Sagar, the manager, effin' rocks!

I almost want to rate this place a one so that no one finds it and it never gets over booked when I come to New Orleans! Probably the best spot in town, live music starts down Frenchmen every day at 2pm and goes until 3am. Balconies are awesome for people watching and hanging out. This will be my go to place!

Stayed here on a trip to New Orleans, and I thought it was great. Really cozy and the building was awesome. Really felt like you were getting the New Orleans feel. Live music at the bars literally right next to the hotel every night. There is a pool and hot tub. A short walk to Bourbon Street. the streetcar is a block away, and the market and all sorts of shops and food spots line the area. I had a great time at this historic hotel! One thing to note, the music can get pretty loud at night, and usually plays pretty late into the evening.

We loved our stay at the Frenchmen. Private parking is a sheer blessing. The security the hotel offers is very comforting. The beds are amazing. And the laid back and genuinely friendly atmosphere cannot be beat. Enjoying all of this in the heart of the local music scene is why we will be coming back, time after time. Thanks, Frenchmen Hotel. We will.see you again, soon.

Had a delightful experience.

While the location is inherently noisy, the hotel is charming and a great place to stay while exploring. Yes, the rooms are a bit small and the beds may not be the most comfortable but the character, staff, location, and pool more than make up for it.

Our stay at the Frenchmen was great! We were both unsure of the location when we booked it, but it ended up being perfect. We parked on Saturday afternoon and didn't move the car until Sunday. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. As far as the hotel itself, our room was clean and super nice. Sager, the gentleman at the front desk, was more than helpful, especially when we told him the concert we were supposed to attend was canceled. He pointed us in the direction of an awesome sports bar where we spent the evening watching football and baseball. As we were leaving, both my boyfriend and I both agreed that the Frenchmen will be our go-to spot from here on out for our weekend getaways.

Very very loud all night but otherwise a great place to stay away from the 24 hr frat party on Bourbon. Super comfortable bed and great balcony all to ourselves in rm 200.

The Frenchman was a lovely spot, where I found shelter from the Louisiana heat while remaining close to the action. The staff were friendly, the pool was relaxing, and the surroundings were pleasant. An enthusiastic five stars!

This is an easy 5-star review, in my opinion. The staff is friendly and helpful, the design and architecture is neat, and the location is excellent. There's a pool in which you can cool down and a patio on which you can turn up. Be sure to get out of the property, though, because the live music in the area is world-famous.

Exactly what I wanted in my first NOLA experience. The rooms are small but all I needed. Wasn't looking for the spa treatment of big hotels. Very nice courtyard by the pool. Also a nice rooftop patio. Very nice continental breakfast if you want something quick. And their coffee was spot on NOLA. Also, it's blocks away from the FQ and Frenchmen st is hoping with night life. Perfect location, perfect hotel.

Rooms were recently renovated so quite nice. In the middle of French St. So it can be loud in the evening but there is also loads of things to do steps from your door.

Stayed twice and wonderful hotel, would stay here again. You can't ask for a better location in the heart of Marigny. The rooms are on the small side but they are clean, comfortable and have everything you need. For the price, location, and Nola feel, this place cannot be beat. Has a beautiful pool area and also and awesome upper deck on the roof with tables to chill out at night. If you normally stay at Ritz Carlton type places that cost 500 a night, this may disappoint you but otherwise highly recommended.
