This hotel was unbearably noisy… Stayed there for a night and was completely unable to sleep. There are clubs just across the street, which played music ALL NIGHT - SUPER LOUD. Feel like the percussions were just in front of my door, and getting louder and louder…… Ppl book hotels for a good rest but with this one we simply couldn't get any!

We stayed here for 4 nights in this small hidden gem away from the craziness of bourbon street. The staff is great with always someone on had, they have a small "bar/fridge" with beer and liquor, towels for the pool and a decent breakfast. Its one of the few hotels which has secured parking if you end up doing a road trip, otherwise if you fly in you wont need a car in the french quarter just walk.

It's really loud from the clubs across the street, but I was expecting that. My main issues are with the sporadic hot water and the terrible parking situation. There are fewer parking spaces than rooms (parking is paid also), and when we finally got a space, my husband smashed in the front fender of our Mercedes trying to get out of it. If you come here, don't bother with parking! Otherwise it's a cute spot I'm a great location.

Location is awesome to get around. Would be better if not for the roof top bar that plays music loudly until late at night. I get New Orleans is a party town but some people do want to just rest.

I stayed here six months ago and loved everything about it but have not been as enamored with it this time. The hotel is currently promoting live music on the roof, which means keeping the front gate open in the evenings and inviting bar hoppers to walk through the previously secured courtyard. The intimacy of this courtyard, which contains a beautiful small pool and hot tub, was one of the nicest parts about the last stay, but now there are always non-hotel guests in the pool in street clothes leaving empty cups and cigarette butts all around. I don't know if I'll be back on the next trip. I should add that I went up to the roof one night and the music and setting was wonderful.

Two night guest. Very nice, local hotel. Comfortable with a helpful and friendly staff. Rooftop happy hour with live music, courtyard pool and hot tub. Location is the biggest plus. Perfect spot for exploring the French Quarter on foot. Highly recommend.

Friendly staff, had some check in/check out problems that should not have happened. Room was nice and in a good location if you want to bar hop and listen to live music. It's a double edged sword though because the noise on the block makes your stay far from peaceful. Good for partiers, bad for people who want to relax.

I have stayed at the Frenchmen three times over the last year, and have found it very enjoyable. Close to everything I like, quaint and historic feel. On the most recent visit, I discovered the rooftop terrace, which was a nice bonus. I'll definitely be back.
