A Complete Disaster – Stay Away from The King Street House by Kasa
This was hands down one of the most infuriating travel experiences I've ever had. From the moment I booked, the process was a mess. First, I was forced to upload my driver’s license—fair enough, except their system rejected it multiple times without explanation. Then came the facial recognition selfies: front-facing, side angles, more retakes—like I was applying for security clearance instead of checking into a hotel.
And after jumping through all those ridiculous hoops, I arrived only to find that the access code they gave me didn’t work. I stood outside in the heat, luggage in hand, calling their “support” line over and over. After more than an hour of frustrating back-and-forth, they casually informed me that the room I had reserved a month ago wasn’t actually available. Their system shouldn’t have let me book it in the first place. Oops.
They offered a refund as if that made up for stranding me in Alexandria at the height of summer travel, when walk-in rates are through the roof—if you can even find a room. Their response? “Sorry, there’s nothing we can do.”
This isn’t just poor service—it’s completely unacceptable. Save yourself the stress, the wasted time, and the total lack of accountability. Do not stay at this property. Ever.
