I loved my stay with Kasa at the Lafayette! Due to a flight delay, I got in during the middle of the night (3am) and was able to quickly and easily get to my room. I was here for business and found huge value in the suite unit type where I could take advantage of taking calls in the living room and working from the desk. The staff was very friendly in the morning and held my luggage while I had a breakfast meeting. Love that this property was close enough to walk to dinner/attractions but far enough away from the loud night life to be able to sleep. I will definitely be back the next time I am in New Orleans!

About 10 minute walk from canal street and access to bourbon street, also 5 minutes from sports stadiums. Several good restaurants near by. Close to grocery store. Facilities were clean and staff answered questions. Small bar fridge was sufficient for our needs. Nice, quiet neighbourhood aside from occasional street car.

What an amazing stay at Lafayette New Orleans hotel it was my first time being in New Orleans and the staff was very helpful in helping me with locations the room was very clean. My only complaint was the refrigerator had a weird smell, but I didn’t use it. I just opened it all in all love the city of New Orleans. The hotel was perfect walking distance to all different locations for sightseeing and I will be coming back again soon.

It was great, close to the French quarter

Definitely not a luxury hotel. No glassware for water/drinks. Stayed 3 days and was never asked or had towels replaced. Comfortable bed and large room.

Clean but had some issues. Likes: Rooms spacious and clean. Had desk to work at. Looks like fairly new remodel done. Very nice looking. Dislikes: TV is a internet TV for all channels. Kept freezing every 5 seconds even after reset. Don't stay here if you want to watch the game or anything on TV no microwave. Bath tub was really old and was missing parts. Knob and drain was just wide open hole in tub. Looks like everything remodeled recently except bathroom.. No phone in room. If you need something you have to go downstairs and they will tell you to send a message to Kasa.

Great place to stay! This place is really neat. Has historic charm, very well kept. Our stay was quiet and comfortable. The location was very convenient and central. Bourbon St, Superdome, cruise terminal, World War II museum and amazing food were all within walking distances. We will definitely be staying here again.

Nice Hotel Stay Nice hotel and good location. 9 minute walk to the French Quarter and trolley just outside the front door. Room was clean and staff was friendly. There is an adequate number of restaurants within walking distance.

No staff, poorly cleaned (especially behind the bed where I found leftover food and a can), smart lock which started beeping because it had run out of battery - very distressing when traveling and that we don't know if we'll be able to get into our room - paper-thin windows, not ideal when the tram passes in front of the hotel all night. To date, the hotel is doing well, but I don't see how it can maintain its standing given the absence of staff and manager and the work being done at a discount. Pas de personnel, ménage mal fait (surtout derrière le lit où j’ai retrouvé des restes de nourriture et une canette), serrure intelligente qui s’est mise à biper car elle n’avait plus de batterie - très angoissant quand on voyage et qu’on ne sait pas si on va pouvoir rentrer dans sa chambre - fenêtres fines comme du papier, pas idéal alors que le tram passe devant l’hôtel toute la nuit. À date, l’hôtel va bien, mais je ne vois pas comment il pourra conserver son standing vu l’absence de personnel et de manager et les travaux fait au rabais.

While the location is nice, property is ok too but services were very poor. I was given inside room while we paid for street view room. Hotel has virtual front desk and 2 ladies sitting at front desk aren’t helpful. If you want water bottle you have to get it rom vending machine and if machine doesn’t dispense water bottle no one is there to help OR provide you water bottle at night. Front desk simply said we can’t do anything. Stayed for 3 days and even after asking room wasn’t cleaned. We can’t help was the only answer that was provided if front desk ladies were asked something. Overall poor customer service, won’t stay there ever again or recommend it to anyone.

Great place, older but dialed in

Stayed for almost a week, they allowed early check in and they have a bag drop. I had some issues like there wasn't a microwave in the room, and the shower drain was clogged. Other than that, was a nice stay!

With the incoming storm we got a text giving us instructions on how we needed to maintain the property and avoid freezing pipes to ensure we do not get a damage fee. It was impossible to get an actual person on the phone to help for anything

This property was fine for the price i guess but there is no staff on site u have to communicate through text message the entire time. Extremely inconvenient and people said it was close to everything but it really isnt youll be walking atleast 20 mins to bourbon st. I asked for a microwave they claimed one was in the room but it wasnt i had to wait an entire day to get one and lots of rust ij the room . I just would not eeccimmend.

Absolutely adored the aesthetics of this place. Definitely recommend this hotel! Self check-in and check-out was seamless and the hosts were great, responsive communicators. It's situated in a prime location, with lots to do, see, and amazing food options to try nearby!

My room smelled terribly of mold and there was mold in the shower. I emailed customer service asking for a refund (because I was checking out early because of this) and they first said no. Then the concierge came up and took photos of the mold. Only then did I get a *partial* refund for the one day- not even a full-refund for that day. I'd say they over-communicate and under-deliver. My stay was during a cold-snap and my room was really cold overnight with no extra blankets or ways to turn up the heat. The good? Check-in was easy and I was able to store my luggage.

Great check in process. Very good location. 10 min walk to Bourbon street. 15 min to casino.

Good value place to stay with the location but don't expect hotel wait staff to be available Likes: For the price, the place is a great stay. Mini fridge, water kettle, teas and coffee were nice to have. The building and rooms are older but it was clean and again for the price solid value. Dislikes: This hotel business model is different where basically its like airbnb with no full time staff around to assist anything. It was really cold in town and our heat didn't work in the room and no one was around to give us extra blankets or sheets for the night. BUT luckily the phone line support was able to move us to a different room that was vacant and the heat worked for the rest of the stay. Parking is expensive which is common in New Orleans so just find a garage near by to park at versus paying them.

The location is great for exploring New Orleans and the front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. We traveled here in August and had some struggles with the heat and lack of functional AC but the room was so well shaded and so so big that it did not make much of a difference. This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in and we would 100% return here!

I think as a hotel that it has a lot going for it if you want to approach New Orleans carefully. It takes about fifteen minutes to walk to the French Quarter and a cable car runs adjacent to the hotel. Sort of a more corporate area. But if you don’t want to be above a party it’s great. I didnt venture to the steakhouse below but it seemed to be a decent cloth napkin place. The rooms are a steal if you get a balcony room. I got a corner spot and it was a decently sized, comfortable clean room. Mattress was old school springs btw so if your back is tricky like mine, you feel it the next morning. The hotel itself was tidy with a tinge of class and a little spartan. Not like a continental breakfast kind of place. But it was pretty classic. My only complaint was I stayed for a week and there’s no like, maid onceover while your gone from the room so I kinda stole some toilet paper from the mezzanine men’s room because no one was at the front desk to ask for more. I dunno. Overall you could really do worse. I think it’s a pretty solid place for the price and location.
