Great hotel
Perfect location. Great stay, staff friendly but wished housekeeping changed our sheets daily. That is why I did not give 5 stars. The restuarant, Desi Vega is one of the best in the city. I highly recommend this hotel.

FANTASTIC!!
Stayed in the Lafayette Hotel in the summer with my son, again with my husband and sister. The staff is the best! the rooms are wonderful!! They are there to assist you with what ever you need! My son forgot a couple of pieces of clothing, they helped him out with pride. Beds are so comfortable, easy access to everything, the rest of my family love the Lafayette Hotel now too(-:

We stayed at the Lafayette for Mardi Gras 2020 and we couldn’t have had a better location. The hotel is right on the parade route so we could watch some from our window if we wanted to do so! All employees were super kind and accommodated us any way they could! Everything we wanted to do was within walking distance (Bourbon St., Riverfront, French Quarter, etc.). Would 100% stay here again!

Good location!
Very nice location, right across Jackson Square. The hotel is a bit old, and some things might need changing, but the service was great, and the room was clean. It was a comfortable stay all around. We also enjoyed walking around the hotel. We will definitely be back the next time we are in New Orleans.

Mardi Gras 2020
This hotel is by far the best! Johnnetta Randall and her crew bent over backwards to do everything we asked of them. Everyone from front desk to bellmen and maids we friendly and courteous. Anyone coming for Mardi Gras should consider staying here, but it is also my go to hotel for any of our trips to New Orleans. Looking forward to seeing them again soon!

Easy access to parade route and other businesses.
Wished they offered breakfast, but dinner was great. During Mardi Gras, the bar should be open earlier. It didn't open until 5:30. The rooms were very nice and had access to a balcony facing St. Charles Ave.

Not a great place, not even really good. Very rough inside, hasn't been given much love in a long time cleary. Very loud. Doors don't have any stripping to help close quietly, windows are single page glass and old. Lighting in rooms is terrible and the rooms are beat up. I have no idea who is giving this place more than two stars because it doesn't deserve it. Can't recommend which is to bad because it's in a very good location.

Had an absolutely love stay here! Found this hotel last minute and so thankful we did! Nicole at the front desk was lovely and helped us get situated promptly when we arrived. The room was a little cold when we initially arrived, but it warmed up quickly. The beds were comfortable and the pillows perfectly soft. The location was great because it was within easy walking distance of so many things.
If you're looking for a place to stay with comfy beds and easy walk to a lot of great NOLA locations, this is the place for you!

GREAT boutique hotel in a quiet area with comfy beds. There is a fine dining restaurant attached, but wish they had some type of cafe or place to get morning coffee and light breakfast. There are a few spots close by but something inside/attached would be nice. Will definitely stay here again!

Convenient to everything: Walking distance (for healthy patrons) to the World War II Museum, French Quarter, Bourbon Street, Rouses Market and neighborhood restaurants. Situated on the St. Charles Streetcar Line for easy accessibility to further venues. Johnnetta @ Front Desk was very helpful and friendly.

We enjoyed our stay at the Lafayette Hotel. It was surprisingly quiet even with events taking place at the restaurant. The mattress was amazingly comfortable. The location is also perfect. Will be back!

I stayed at this hotel Many years ago on my way to visit my family and friends in Southwest Mississippi.TheFront Desk Was Very Professional. I really enjoy spending the night at this hotel,but mostly I party the night away dancing in the French quarters of the Great City of New Orleans, Louisiana.

The room was freezing cold because the windows are 100 years old. The staff was rude and didn't care about literally anything. The elevator was dirty, the hallways are dirty, the restaurant was closed the entire time we were here. There's no room service. I regret staying here, motel 6 would have been cheaper and nicer with better customer service. This place is trash.

This was my 2nd stay with Lafayette Hotel and we love it! Love the age of the hotel, the staff, the location, just everything. Will stay again and again. It is our NOLA hotel!

The woman that checked me in was FANTASTIC!! The valet car staff, were not. :-( I had the pleasure of opening EVERY door for myself upon entry and exit from the hotel. The hotel itself is old and it shows in the walls and toilet seat stains.... YUK!
