Overall, this hotel just looked old and tired. The whole place is just kind of worn down. The highlight was how friendly and helpful the staff were. They actually let us check in around 9 am which was amazing. But this was where the nice things about this hotel kind of ended. The room was standard, but not the cleanest of rooms we've seen. The provided shampoo and other toiletries were half used. There were a lot of random hairs around the bathroom. The bed was comfortable, which was nice, but there was quite a bit of car noise from the street, and the street cars frequently passing were very loud. But, by far the biggest problem of this hotel is the smell. It's evident from immediately when you walk in. It's kind of a damp, musty smell. It was stronger in the room, and it really smells like it could be a dirty air conditioning system. The smell is like damp, old, moldy refrigerant. The whole room was very damp, and when we got home, everything we had hung in the closet had such a strong smell that we had to wash everything.
Staying here kind of feels like staying at a hotel that is on it's last legs that they are just waiting to close. It was cheap, and the location is good, but there is no way we would stay here again.
