Nice hotel great location

Loved this hotel! The location was perfect for some quiet sleep, yet still close to the party and restaurants. The hotel had a nice warm and contemporary feel to it inside the room. The only thing I did notice was there was no beverages/water for sale or available. The staff was super friendly and I would definitely stay here on my next visit.

This is our go-to hotel when visiting the Big Easy. The suites are reasonably priced and perfect for traveling with kids. The Wi-Fi is just barely good enough and T-Mobile seems spotty at best. But the rooms are clean and spacious and the staff are nice and helpful. There's a Rouse Supermarket a few blocks away, which is great for grabbing provisions, excellent restaurants and bars nearby and the streetcar stops right in front of the hotel. And it seems like there's always a free concert going on in Lafayette Park right across the street.

The wifi is so slow you can't even use it. I'm stuck with no cancellation special event terms, and can't even use the Internet. Room is nice, quiet, but the Internet is unusable and the restaurant was closed.

We had an amazing time staying at the Lafeyette Hotel. We were looking for a small hotel right outside of all the hustle of Bourbon and this was the perfect place. In walking distance of all your main attractions and the staff displayed perfect customer service. Shout out to Denise and Theo - very accommodating and gave awesome recommendations. Highly encourage people to stay here... You won't be disappointed!!!

The staff seemed inconvenienced by our presence, by and large. So that was odd. The valet was very nice. So that was cool. Every night, the humid Louisiana air in August made our sheets damp. So that was gross. We got a deal because nothing was happening at the time we stayed. If I had paid full price I would have only bestowed a single star. I was feeling generous since we essentially paid Motel 6 prices and got the experience of a condemned Hampton Inn.

We were 4 in two different rooms and we had different issues : we did not have hot water and the other room was cold and very humid. But we sleep well. The hotel parking is 51$ per night. So don't take it, go to "go park" it's only 30$ per night and you only walk 3 minutes.

Beautiful hotel, nice place to stay. No breakfast though.

They accommodated my dog. Walking distance to everything and nice mix of the old and new.

Excellent hotel and perfect location for touring the city. Be prepared to pay for parking and meals. Restaurant and bar on site but only open from dinner to close.

The Lafayette Hotel is a truly luxurious experience in the heart of the New Orleans Financial District. The rooms are large, well-furnished and exquisitely clean. The staff is kind, conversational and helpful as well. I have not had the opportunity to explore the immediate neighborhood further, but I am sure that the Lafayette Hotel offers place utility that is second to few for those who need to get where they are going.

A little run down, but decent for the price

I'm a Hilton Honors member and I usually don't accept any other hotel unless it's a resort. I must say my wife and I enjoyed this place and actually I would pick this place 10 times out of 10. Super friendly staff, the curb assistance, knowledge of area was great, the room itself was smaller but the bed was the absolute best bed ever. The hotel was clean and smelled great. It's tucked away from the noise and yucky crap in the French quarter. The Valet drivers made us feel like we were VIP and that's the same for the entire staff. If you're looking for a good deal compare the online price to Groupon, but it's a great stay with two wonderful steak houses in the front. It's great.

Wouldn't recommend this hotel unless you have plenty of money to THROW away! Everything and I mean everything has a price. From local phone calls to the parking. Was charged $250.00 for smoking a vapor pen in our room when we asked @ check-in if it was ok and told it was! There is no refrigerator microwave or any extras in your room. There is no soda machines on premises. There is no room service. This place has no pool no breakfast no room service NOTHING! when we spoke to the manager Julie she was rude to us and spoke down to us like we were beneath her. She's the type of person who can tell you to eat crap while smiling in your face. Decided to try the restaurant in the lobby, but was treated like we were not good enough to eat in the dining room, we were sat in an additional dining area in the back and was told we couldn't sit by the window to watch the parade when we ask because we didn't have any reservations. Needless to say we didn't stay to eat. If the rude service isn't enough to scare you the prices will 80$ for a steak and 7$ if you'd like a baked potato to go with it or 12$ for a side salad. The only good experience we had was the bell boys they were extremely helpful and friendly! Other than that I wouldn't recommend this place for your enemy! Oh almost forgot the large bathroom was full of black mold and the toliet wouldn't flush maintenance came up and snaked it and dripped nasty toilet water all over the floor!

Great location and room was clean with a nice decor

It's ok. Safe place in close walk to most of what you come to NO for. One of 5 parking attendant scould drive a stick. I had to fetch my car every morning. That's fine..... Except the fee. Why am I getting charged to go get my own car? no fridge no microwave. NO WIFI. they say they have it and it shows up on my device but it's to slow to use.

I came to Nola for my birthday and picked this hotel out of many,it was a very good choice. The location is not too bad. Everyone there was helpful, professional, and very nice.

My husband and I were both pleased with the hotel. We got married on Saturday, August 8, 2015 in New Orleans, and the experience was great. I arrived at the Hotel a mess because it was my wedding day, and from the time I checked in...the staff took over from there. They kept me calm, and made me fell at home. I can't remember all of their names, because there were several, and I had wonderful encounters with them all. The Concierge staff showed off their Louisiana hospitality. A woman never forgets her wedding day, and I can honestly say I'll never forget the beautiful Lafayette Hotel and staff. I wanted to stay longer. "Thank You Guys"

Best vacation ever back in 2005.

Very clean, excellent staff and service. Restaurant was pricey but superb food. Only complaint only ice machine is on mezzanine and rooms are small.
