8/10 Very good
Good place to stay for couples or solo travelers exploring downtown New Orleans.
Check in and check out were a breeze. The room was clean but dated, especially the bathroom. The hot water cut out several times while showering each morning -- not unusable, but enough to be annoying. The bed was very comfortable.
The hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood with lots of restaurants, bars, and cafes nearby. The French Quarter, stadiums, and riverwalk are all an easy 15 minute walk away, and there are several bus & streetcar lines close to the property. A streetcar actually runs right outside the hotel, which is both convenient & a bit noisy. It didn't bother me and complimentary earplugs were provided, but light sleepers might be affected.
Overall, it was a good value for the money, particularly if you just want a place to sleep each night. I would probably stay here again and I wouldn't hesitate if they ever updated the bathrooms.
