8/10 Very good
Under most circumstances, this hotel would deserve a five-star rating. It is fresh, spacious, wonderfully located, quiet, and, in sum, a fine place to stay. However, at the moment, the hotel is not finished. None of the amenities in the basement (meeting rooms, art studios, a proposed Biergarten, etcetera) are finished beyond the drywall stage (there is not so much as a sink in the Biergarten kitchen area). There are also some punch-list items that need addressing: for example, toilet seats that are improperly mounted and constantly fall off their hinges or slide askew the toilet (speaking of the bathroom, my room had only one-third of a roll of toilet paper). The entry lobby featured a big bucket receiving dripping water from an overhead duct. All this having been said, this redeveloped mill building is a work of art and a delightful place to stay. I only wish that it were completed!
