My husband I stayed for two nights- 1st night people came back at midnight that were next door. Loud and drunk sounded like they were having a party. We had a room on the 1st floor with a lake view. I contacted about the people next door and was told to wait for an answer. Two hours later and an employee showed up for an alarm but not my issue showed up. I even called the virtual hotel number and spoke with someone. Their resolution was for us to move and did nothing about the people in the room making the disturbance. Even the employee said she was scared to handle the situation. So at 2:30 am she found us a room on the 3rd floor- view of the parking lot but at least it was quiet and we could sleep. It’s in a great location but we would probably not stay again. There were drunken people that would wander over from the restaurant and try to get in to look around. Deck is beautiful but furniture out there covered in spiders and things.

Pleasant, would book again Likes: There were a lot of good things about this place. It was clean, modern, spacious room and excellent location for visiting state park. shower head was very tall, bed very comfortable, smart tv in room, great sitting room in lobby area and tea plus coffee set up in room was great. Thought about nice to have things that people don't know they want. For example, there is a noice machine in the room with light, great for babies. Dislikes: It was the small things that people don't think about. The photos online while accurate are misleading about what is in the room. The photos make it seem like a kitchenette is in every room. no staff to ask questions to, very low bath tub, bed was also physically low, no seating chair in room and insufficient space in trash cans

Would book another stay

Very impressed. We stayed one night for a quick getaway and we were very impressed. We found our new favorite spot. Very clean and very quiet. Perfect get away. We regret we didnt get 2 nights. We tried but they were already booked. Can't wait for the next time.

Very nice looking and clean facility. When they say digital check in- they mean it. No on site staff. But, they did respond to needs adequately. Our lock box on the door did not work upon arrival (dead battery), but was able to open and access room from my phone. Someone did arrive and was there to correct the situation within an hour or so. The room is nice and large. Well supplied and stocked kitchen with full size fridge and stove. Would like to see a coffee pot or keurig rather than electric hot water tea pot even though they had lots of tea flavors and steep coffee. Also, an on-site washer and dryer would be helpful. Lots of lobby space and areas to hang out in. Wifi worked well everywhere. The tv seemed to only work with a roku- have to log in to personal accounts. The decor in room and entire place is also very sterile- mostly white or off-white. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and the facility. It was well worth the price.

Disappointed We were excited to try out the new Boardwalk Hotel on Lake Anna, after waiting several months for its grand opening. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. This is not your typical hotel in that it is a do-it-yourself type of place because there is no staff present. When I made a reservation a week in advance of our stay, I requested a room on a lower level. The night before our stay, I received an email stating that my request could not be honored and that room assignment was determined the day of the arrival based on availability. When we arrived at the hotel, we discovered our room was on the front of the hotel, with our balcony and view overlooking the parking lot and trash dumpsters rather the lake, which is the whole reason we chose to stay here. Mind you, the hotel appears to be mostly empty. There were also no chairs for the balcony which we requested but were told none were available. The rooms without kitchens contain no microwave. There are just enough towels for each person and no housekeeping or refills of any items needed. We were charged $10 per night for parking but I’m not sure why considering there is no one here to monitor the parking lot and the lot is huge with plenty of parking in addition to there being an empty parking lot at the restaurant next door that is not in use overnight. To report any issues, you are directed to an online chat, text or phone number to customer service in California with no knowledge of this specific location. On a positive note, the rooms are clean and beds comfortable which you should expect since everything is new. We will definitely never stay here again and will be surprised if this hotel is open a year from now.

Relaxing Likes: The property was new and clean. Dislikes: On Sunday morning, the lobby coffee area was not set up.

New and very nice. Brand new facility. Lake views on the lake side of the hotel. Comfy beds. The 2 queen bed room is huge with a huge balcony. Very nice overall. Would stay there again. It’s virtual check in so you never see a person. Although we did happen to meet the manager and she is lovely.

This amazing hotel just opened up. It is in a wonderful location. The rooms were beautiful and clean. The view was fantastic. Can’t think of a better place to enjoy a nice cup of coffee you have to stay here!

Great hotel! Brand new, really nice rooms, right on the lake.

The 5 star review from Lana Woods is interesting. The hotel is still under construction and won't open until mid-September.
