8/10 Very good
The view was amazing, we stayed in a king room with Kitchenette and an outstanding lake view. The rooms are pretty big and the kitchenette had almost everything like pots, utensils, dishwasher, and microwave. The provided with basic food stuff for cooking basic dishes.
There's a concierge room on the 4th floor which has fresh set of everything that might be required like fresh set of towels, hand wash, coffee and so on. It's all self service.
The hotel has no real reception staff and is all virtual. But we never faced a problem. In case of any questions or issues with anything related to booking, room or hotel , you can just ask the virtual assistant on the text message. You can also call the number in case there's any information required through Human Agent.
The check in was smooth and simple. They sent complete instructions with door codes and everything on text message. There are boats available to rent and enjoy the lake. There's plenty of parking space. No need to worry on that. The area is in quite space in Mineral and the drive to here is through rural area and just two way mostly, so not much traffic.
It's a perfect place for a weekend stay.
I gave four star as there's no laundry on site. Since I stayed for more than a week, we had to go to nearest town for laundry. Plus there's no breakfast provided as such. There's a grocery store nearby but again not that many options.Tim's restaurants is a popular restaurant but is a bit on the expensive side
Good restaurants and grocery stores are good amount of miles away. As I travelled here from outside of Virginia, Charlottesville airport is almost an hour from here and Richmond Airport is hour and a half from here. As the hotel is in a rural area , near to Lake Anna, there's no option of getting doordash or share rides like Lyft or Uber.
And yes , sometimes the neighbors can be noisy or if they play the tv loud, it can be annoying as the walls seem to be thin. They have provided white noise machine though in every room.
