IT WAS THE WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE.
Likes: The room was actually a very nice suite consisting of a bedroom, living room with attached kitchen, huge walk in closet and a large closet with both a washing machine and a dryer. Excellent views. Nice balcony with chairs.
Dislikes: This was the worst hotel experience of my entire life and a gigantic bait and switch. AFTER you book the room and the entire purchase price for the whole stay is charged to your credit card, you find out that you have to provide a face photo for facial recognition purposes. Now, you may trust Kasa not to mishandle it (I do), but you can't trust hackers who might hack into Kasa, get the photograph of your face, and then photoshop it onto child pornography. You won't find this out until police show up on your doorstep with a warrant for your arrest, put you in handcuffs and take you off to jail. And then pay $10,000 or $20,000 to a bail bondsman to get out of jail (unless of course you don't mind spending a month or two in jail while the police sort this all out). And don't for a minute assume Kasa will never get hacked -- all sorts of companies and government agencies have gotten hacked. Additionally, THERE IS NO FRONT DESK for this property. You're on your own, buddy, with a bunch of codes to get into the lobby and then into your room. My taxicab driver had a very hard time even finding the parking garage. If it's the middle of the night and you can't figure out how to navigate this extremely complicated process, expect to spend the night on the street. Prior to the hotel stay, there is a huge amount of anxiety as to whether you will be able to get into the place and into your suite.
