I have traveled my entire life, and actually did it for work all over the country. This was the worst experience that I have ever had. If they said “they’d leave the lights on”, I’d say, “please don’t”.
It is a “no frills”, “no human contact” place. They give you codes for the doors to get in the building and codes for the elevator and codes for your room all through text messages and emails. The experience was extremely impersonal!
When I checked in no sooner did I receive an email that they would be turning the AC off early in the morning the following day for maintenance, which I’m sure they knew well ahead of time before my reservation. Not only did they turn the AC off, but they also turned the water off, which made it very difficult for me to start off my day without being able to shower or brush my teeth.
I finally left the room and went to go get something to eat when I returned to the room, there was smoke coming out of the ceiling. Then the fire alarm began to go off in my room. I called #911 as I was throwing all of my personal belongings into my suitcase to leave the building. The fire department arrived and determined that the work that they were doing on the roof was filling a couple of room rooms with smoke. Needless to say, I packed up and left and found another place to stay.
When I contacted Customer Support, which seemed to be managed by a company in India, they assured me that they would open up a case and would get back to me ASAP. That never happened.
As far as cleanliness, it certainly does not meet my standards.
I highly suggest that you find another place to stay when visiting Savannah, Georgia.
