Pretty Place/ Bad Business I absolutely love the location of this building it is in the heart of downtown Detroit walking distance to the Renaissance building N Hart Plaza absolutely wonderful location!!! It is attached to a 7-Eleven which also makes it wonderful for people traveling with teenagers. The company provides access instructions three days before you arrive check in went very smooth however there is no parking so you must arrive early to pay for parking or park across the street in the lot but once you park you cannot leave and that cost $10.... The building is as pretty as the pictures however I noticed a lot of scuff marks on the walls in my unit as well as the sofa bed was broken. There was a Wi-Fi maintenance performed during my stay which interfered with watching TV for three days. They brought a Roku as a replacement yet charge me for it after I left. They titled it as missing however I take videos before I leave any upscale unit to prevent this type of mishap so I have pictures that I left the Roku there and they refunded me. That was not good business at all. I called Hotels.com on Wednesday morning to extend my stay for one day until Friday and was charged $250 . I call Sonder and Inform them so that I could remain in the same unit with the same access code. However when Friday arrived I was locked out of the building and my apartment numerous times!!! There’s a lack of communication within their network it affects customers. Still waiting on the $250 credt promised

You gotta pay for parking only downside but everything else was wonderful first time staying wont be last has washer and dryer oven stove everything chromecast tv 7 eleven next door security always there makes ya feel at home

The entire place is sparkling clean! Easy check in and out. The building is secured. All the kitchen appliances are new. The furniture is modern and very comfortable Highly recommend Sonder

Great place to stay This was a very nice stay extremely clean. The security guards were very helpful and nice. The only suggestion, I have is in the shower there is no where to put your soap or shampoo. I would definitely book again.

beautiful space in terrific spot I loved everything about it. One of the sec guards, Jakaiser, Jr, was so great and helpful - he made my stay even better.

The nearness of major sights and public transportation.Also a 24 hour 7/11 in the corner of the building,and a 6 day diner a building away. ....And a view of Detroit's courthouse...fantastic

o tv, essentially. A fine stay, but there’s no cable tv and apparently rabbit ears don’t work.

There were street lights beaming in my room all night and an incredible amount of noise from the street occurring all night long. Also, the check in process was ridiculous. I had to download an app, call customer service to trouble shoot why it wasn't working, and wait for several confirmation emails for the process. It took at least an hour to navigate. Never again!

My experience at the sonder went beyond my expectations. My room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The sonder also provided amenities for my baby which made packing for us much simpler. I would definitely recommend this place and I will be back.

Ok stay. The room was small and the furniture was cheap. Odd design for such a small room. There was too much furniture. Although the stay was ok for the money, the location of the property is above a very noisy, dirty, 7eleven. I probably wouldn’t have cared about the crazy noisy location if I wasn’t moved from the 8th floor before my stay to the 3rd and then told it was an upgrade. It was not.

Modern and Comfortable place to stay The unit I stayed in was well appointed, clean and comfortable. The security at the door was very friendly and the location is great if you want to walk around right downtown. I will say parking in the area can be challenging and sort of pricey so use an app like spothero or equivalent.

10/10 My stay was wonderful, quiet, clean, and serene. 10/10 I would recommend. Even thou there was a riot right outside my window, I always felt safe

Second Home This place is like my second home when I come in to Detroit. Great for business travelers or other long term stays.

Quality Apartment All was as discribed and very clean.

I booked a room at Sonder in Detroit. I felt obligated to stay in the room longer because it was so nice! The room has everything you could need for an extended stay and the furnishings and appliances are immaculate. It honestly felt like home away from home. No free parking, and No front desk at the property, but when I had an issue connecting one of my devices to their tv I was able to contact a live representative right away with the phone number they provided. They even sent an IT maintenance man to my room in less than 15 minutes to resolve my issue. 5/5 stars in my book!

My go-to in Detroit! What an awesome room - so comfortable and modern! Super friendly, 24-hr security people and great location downtown.

Great Option Everything was great. The ease of check in, check out, etc. It was very convenient to Ford Field, many food choices and far more comfortable than staying in a hotel. The worst thing was that the 19 year old could not figure out the TV.

Nice, homey and good location The location was great. The amenities and facilities perfect with nearby grocery stores where you can make your own meals. I love having the washer and dryer in the unite. There is 24 hours security. Wish I had found this sooner as I was in Detroit 3 days prior to finding this. Also, it looks exactly like the pictures.

Given wrong information So the biggest problem I had was all of the information provided on this website was wrong. It looks like everything has been updated now for future people wanting to stay. However, when I booked it showed a check-in time of 12pm when in reality it was 4. You are able to request an early check in pending availability though. Even bigger of an annoyance was the fact that I was led to believe i was getting a king sized bed. I book my hotels based on bed size usually so to show up and have a double bed was soul crushing. After you book your stay, you're told you have to download their app (another annoyance) and even in my app reservation it shows me having a king sized bed. I feel ripped off honestly and would never stay at another Sonder property again. I will say the location was okay but don't expect to be able to sleep well - it's incredibly noisy at night and the walls/windows are thin. The kitchen and bathroom were nice enough but the glasses for water were a bit dirty.

Great property. It was very clean and very comfortable. Parking was a little more difficult since Campus Martius had a huge event.

10 out of 10, will Sonder again! This space was absolutely amazing and everything we hoped for! The best of both a traditional hotel and an airbnb, except the bedding and furnishings were even better. Lovely space, quiet, impeccably clean. So pleased!

New spot in Downtown Detroit - great for business Great hotel/apartment. The only complaint is there aren’t black out blinds in the bedrooms so if light disturbs you be sure to bring an eye mask. It’s in a great location near shopping and restaurants downtown. And the apartment itself was very well appointed and updated. I’d definitely stay here again.

Clean and stylish will all the amenities you need for a few days in the city. Great view, nice layout. Excellent location for exploring downtown Detroit. Lots of secure parking nearby. We would stay here again.

Highly Recommend I really loved staying with Sonder. It has the comfort of home, but the amenities of a hotel. I enjoyed having access to the app and when I texted customer service about an early check in, they responded right away and accommodated my request. I will definitely stay in a Sonder again if given the opportunity. This specific property had security, which was great because I am not from the area. I loved the view and the room was decorated beautifully. I had access to chromecast, which was easy to use and really nice.

My Detroit Home Away From Home This spacious apartment value was a great stay with breathtaking city views. A wonderful downtown location which was walking distance to Greektown, General Motors Headquarters, Cobo Center and shopping. The laundry room, Chromecast television and automated blinds were a surprising touch. The fully appointed kitchen provided the personal dining options not possible at most hotels. Lastly, the handwritten welcome note was the best touch of the visit. Thank you, Sonder!

The way the room felt like home with artwork, furniture and the layout. It felt more personal.

There was a lot of homeless people hanging outside the building. Some interactions turned into aggressive arguments. Aldo, they advertised the bed to be a king sized bed. The bed was a queen. Communication with the property was insulting to me. For someone to continue to tell me that it was a king bed and not verify and apologize was disappointing. The sheets and pillows were queen sized, it was a queen sized bed.

We went for a weekend getaway downtown. This apartment/hotel was right in the middle of everything. We were able to walk around and bar hop and had an awesome meal. The room was really cool and urban and I especially loved the big windows and the comfy beds. We will be back.

The check in process was simple! Customer support was helpful and prompt with their response. The on-site team was amazing ! I would stay again.

I really liked this place. There was no front desk so no line for check-in, I could go right to my room. The windows were huge and the room was really clean, it felt brand new. It was much nicer than staying in a hotel. I will be back and recommend it to others.
