I leave reviews to help other travelers avoid bad experiences, and this is one of those reviews.
The description of this property is misleading. It presents itself as a hotel, but the experience is much closer to an Airbnb. If I wanted an Airbnb, I would have booked one.
The check-in process was a complete mess. The entrance to the building is poorly marked, the parking instructions are confusing, and the employee I spoke with was not helpful. She repeatedly told me the entrance was in the back of the building. The only door I found in the back led to the kitchen of an Italian restaurant. After a long day of travel, it took me over 45 minutes just to figure out how to get into the building because nobody could clearly explain where the entrance actually was.
Parking was another headache. The website advertised free parking, yet I was required to enter my credit card information to register my vehicle. I was told I would not be charged, but that was never clearly explained beforehand. Between finding the parking area, figuring out the registration process, and locating the entrance, I wasted over an hour trying to access my room.
I’m also a disabled veteran, and nowhere was it made clear that getting to the room would require hauling luggage up what amounts to three flights of narrow, winding stairs with no elevator. I was traveling with approximately 70 pounds of luggage and had to carry it from the parking area, around the building, through the entrance, and up the stairs. My back was hurting before I even got settled into the room.
Then there was the bug problem. Large horseflies were getting into the room through the skylight and flying throughout the bedroom and bathroom. I spent part of my stay killing bugs instead of relaxing.
The only reason I didn’t leave and find another hotel was because after carrying all of my luggage up those stairs, I wasn’t physically capable of doing it all over again somewhere else.
If you’re looking for a traditional hotel experience with clear check-in procedures, accessible accommodations, and a hassle-free arrival, I would strongly suggest looking elsewhere.
