Our stay at Kasa El Paseo was very disappointing. Check-in took over 30 minutes with little communication from staff. When we finally got to our room, it smelled strongly of cigars and was not properly cleaned—there was hair on the toilet seat. We requested clean towels, and a staff member (Lesvin) left them in a trash bag hanging outside our door, which felt very unprofessional. One of the most concerning parts of our stay involved what appeared to be bed bug bites. A friend we were traveling with woke up with multiple bites, which is alarming in any hotel setting. We immediately reported the issue to staff, expecting a prompt response, investigation, or at the very least, some concern for guest safety. However, there was little to no response. No one came to inspect the room, no alternative accommodations were offered, and there was no follow-up to ensure the situation was addressed. It felt like communication with staff was inconsistent and ineffective.
