Our two-night stay was okay, but I’d only recommend for a short visit. The room we had a strong sewer smell, which we later learned was from a septic tank out back. It gave us headaches, so we bought air fresheners to help.
There was also a sharp piece of metal where a floor strip was missing between the rooms, and my 3 year old got a small scratch from it. The host apologized and offered a refund and a free night, which I appreciated, but we stayed since we were visiting from a few hours away.
The room didn’t have a first aid kit, so it’s a good idea to bring your own. Also, the cancellation and extension policies are quite strict, I missed the change window by an hour and couldn’t adjust my booking. They also didn’t allow me to extend check out by 30 mins with kids.
Would I stay again? Probably not, but I do appreciate the host’s communication and concern after the issue. With a few fixes, especially to the flooring and smell, this could be a much better stay for future guest.
