Reviews of La Monarca Residential HotelReviews of La Monarca Residential Hotel

We were in a safer location of San Fransisco for sure, that’s why I chose this spot. Considering how close it is to everything for tourists, it was a great price! I will say parking is hard to get in the street but there was a parking garage just a block up the road that gave us a sweet deal for our weekend stay and allowed us “in & out” privileges without extra costs. I was extremely happy Kasa provided shampoo because I forgot mine! Lovely and clean place, but was quite noisy due to being on a busy street.

My boyfriend & I enjoyed staying here. We would come back! Although, the Kitchen situation was a little confusing. I thought our room would be getting its own kitchenette but it’s a community kitchen that the building shares. Also, the elevator permit showed expired in 2021 so they might want to get that up to date for the safety of their guests. Other than that, check in & check out was really easy. They gave detailed instructions and recommended places to park. Our room was really clean & the place was quiet.

Cute and affordable stay, in a great location! If you’re looking for an affordable and cute place today in SF - especially for a solo trip - Kasa La Monarca is the place for you! It is a beautifully renovated vintage building with all the amenities you might need. It’s in an awesome location, just a few blocks from the BART train that you can take from the airport. Mayflower Market and Deli, 7-11, Walgreens, Starbucks and Union Square are all within a block or two. The room was spacious and clean and nicely decorated. The bed was comfy and I loved the bay windows.. No complaints at all, I’ll be back!

The accommodation had a very intensive smell which was causing a constant headache

Nice stay at Kasa! Clean, comfortable, and within walking distance of many restaurants and bars. Would recommend!

Kasa is the typical comfortable place where to stay if you are looking for a convenient location with also house facilities such as kitchen and laundry room. The staff was extremely responsive to our needs and requests. We’ll definitely come back!

always a great stay. thank you for the early check in. that helped out tremendously!

Nice place, clean and well kept.

Great stay ☀️ Likes: The communication with the staff was great, and they were super responsive. The room was nice, quiet, and clean. The kitchen was a huge plus, very well-equipped and great for those who want to stay longer in San Francisco and plan to cook sometimes. Also, the resting area was very comfortable. 😀 Before arriving, I read many things about the overall location. Personally, I think the location was great and it felt safe. Very close to Chinatown, shops, and bus and tram stations.

The room was nice and cozy and the host was responsive when I had any questions. The check-in instructions were extremely clear and the location was fantastic with some great restaurants within close walking distance! I would definitely stay here again when visiting San Francisco!

This was an easy cost effective place to stay. They were very responsive to all issues in record time. And we were able to get our own towels etc. It was a small cute room. Thankfully they had a heater and fan since there’s no thermostat. The bathroom sink is insanely designed. The vanity is almost as deep as the tiny sink so it’s impossible to wash your face easily. They should have put flat mirrors with that type of sink. Noting that because it would be an easy and much better set up. The only thing to keep in mind is that the area is right in between a nice area (Nob Hill) and shit area (Tenderloin where I saw several human poops). That being said, I would stay there again because I wasn’t walking much in the neighborhood and the building was clean and safe (and the rest of the clientele were friendly and not sketchy). Kasa runs their buildings very organized and well!

Great stay & extremely helpful communication!

Had a great, comfortable time staying here!

great stay.

It was an amazing place in a prime location! Parking wasn’t such a hassle and we walked everywhere. The only downfall is that my husband burned himself on a pipe that was super hot and there was no warning that it would get hot. It’s an old building so it runs off this heat radiator and as my husband was putting his shoes on he went to hold it and it burned his hand. The elevator is old very rustic and antique which I loved but they are not up to code and expired in 2021 There is also a communal area where you can cook your meals which comes in handy when you want to make a home cook seafood meal. The response time was impeccable!

Easy place to stay while visiting San Francisco.

Very nice and safe neighborhood

Location was great for what I needed. Hotel is more like a luxury hostel. I could hear my neighbors cough and talk. A noise machine made it all manageable.

Likes: Gute Lage, ordentliches und sauberes Zimmer, Gemeinschaftsküche Dislikes: Kein Wasserspender zum Wasserauffüllen, eine Waschmaschine ist kaputt

It works. You won’t see much staff on site but otherwise it’s like a decent hotel for a lower price. Queries and requests sent through Airbnb are answered quickly.

Nice neighborhood with lots of casual dining options. Nice restaurant (Roxanne's) 2 blocks over to watch cable cars. I didn't use the kitchen and TV room downstairs, but checked it out. It is large and stocked with lots of tea and coffee. Pricewise, it was a very good deal for a quite comfortable lodging.

Very good location to stay if you love being in downtown sf!

Hotel sympa et bon prix. Un peu bruyant cependant, j'ai eu du bruit (cris, musique etc) toutes les nuits - difficile de dormir...

The building was clean, apartment easy to find. I felt safe. The apartment had heating on full force and all windows closed and did not smell great. Other than that, the room was fine. The bathroom was clean. I did hear quite a lot of my neighbors coming in and out of their apartments at night. There was also noise coming in from the street outside.

Kasa is perfect for an affordable night or two in a very central SF location. The room was spacious, with a ton of light, and the bed was very comfortable. The flexible check-in was also appreciated! My only qualm is that the outlets had very poor power, taking any device a very long time to charge.

🤩

Perfect for what we needed the space to be. Great idea to provide a sound machine because it was very noisy on the street at night/early morning. It is just a bed and bathroom so there is no cups or coffee machine, you will have to go out for everything. Not a problem necessarily but good to be prepared!

Clean room and easy to check in. Some parking along the street out front if available, room was a decent size with a mini fridge which was great, walked to most attractions in half an hour so location was good for us.

Great stay!

Great place to stay. You can hear neighbors walking above and sounds on the sides, but that is just city life. All clean and very useful instructions for finding the place and checking in. The tub in the bathroom had some yellow around the drain, but that might just be because the building is old. I sent a message in the app to the host about the towels being smelly, but didn’t receive a response all day. I had to call to the provided phone number and got assistance right away.

Good place to stay in SF

Easy to find and the place was almost spotless. Note that there isn’t AC, which makes it a little hard to bear at night but overall pleasant

The area around the propery seemed unsafe. In the evening some people who were not guests used to gather by the entrance smoking and it was very uncomfortable to enter especially with the lack of guard or someone from the property to have your back incase someone followed you inside.

Jeg og min veninde var tilfreds

Room and common area was clean and as described in the listing, overall had a great stay inside our room. However the stove was unavailable for the majority of our stay during the day due to renovations and multiple outlets went out in the kitchen except for one which still allowed us to use the microwave and coffee machine but was a hassle having to unplug and replug the appliances into the only working outlet. The area was near Chinatown and very walkable to many places as well as the Bart/bus stations, however when we arrived there was a large human poop at the bottom of the entrance stairs which spoke more of the location rather than the actual Kasa building. Other than that, we enjoyed what the place and city had to offer!

Love this place!! Worth it

It was a good place to stay. Very clean and easy to checkin and checkout

Overall it was an okay experience despite some issues I mentioned on gogle reviews

I came to La Monarca hotel from 17-24 Jan and I would say it was a mixed experience. At first I arrived and that same day around 4 pm there were horrible construction sounds and I had read in previous bad reviews about the same thing, and the Hotel responded they would let guests know about construction in the future so they would be aware; well they didn’t let me know… but luckily the next days it stopped (because I work from home) That same day as well the shower rod just fell out of nowhere while I was showering and it hit my leg, which was painful and unfortunate. After some trying I managed to tighten up the rod once again and it didn’t fell. But why would it be loose in the first place… that was dangerous. The location is amazing and that I surely loved, the kitchen is nice and clean and overall is not a noisy area. The power went away for around 2 hours from random outlets, the microwave wasn’t working and either the fridge, but some lights were… the good thing is that once I called they did fixed the issue immediately, so the phone service was great. I thought the experience was what you paid for, around $500 for a week on airbnb… but then I was going to make a reservation again for late February and price went up $3000 for a week… i wouldn’t recommend paying that amount for this hotel. But overall it was an okay experience.

Ok stay

Good price, good location close to alot of shops, restaurants, and bars. It was super easy to access the unit and i felt safe by their secured entraentrancence system. The laundry room in the hotel was awesome as well.

Place was great, great location

Host and staff were extremely responsive and friendly. The location is extremely convenient with convenience stores and a walgreens just nearby. Chinatown is also just a 15 minute walk away. The revamped historic elevator in the building was a really nice touch as well. Just a thing to note: it seems that the water is only boiled between 4 - 10pm (room heater is also water-based) so showering after midnight might be a little cold. But we didn’t really find any issues in general with this and enjoyed our overall stay. Would recommend.

The room was nice and well placed, but there were too many homeless around. Besides, the description was not clear, in the web and photos it seems that the kitchen is in the room, but that is not true.
