Initially we had a bit of a mishap. My friend and I booked this hotel as it was pet-friendly and a convenient launch point for our activities. The ad listed the place as two queen beds, but when we got there it not only didn’t have this option (they didn’t have ANY rooms like this it turns out) but the room was filthy. Obviously that was a bummer.
However, the staff were on top of it and did move us quickly into a clean room with a king bed so at least sharing a bed was easier. I appreciate their prompt response to their mistake. The room we had was clean, comfortable, and completely adequate for a quick weekend with my friend and pets.
Heads up: this, like many SF buildings, is an old building so AC doesn’t exist. We put the fan in front of the screen window and that helped a lot with keeping the room from becoming a furnace.
This neighborhood also isn’t great, but I knew that ahead of time. Yes you are close to concert venues, restaurants, etc but also to some generally rough parts of town. It didn’t bother me but it might bother some. If you do bring dogs, expect to need to take them to a different part of the city to get exercise in (but I also was prepared for this, and I just appreciate any hotel that accommodates pets as it’s more common in general for people to want to travel with them).
Love the contactless and easy check-in overall.
Overall there were mistakes in getting a dirty room and inaccuracies in the ad, but the staff remedied this well and I had a good stay :)
