The Hotel Castro definitely exceeded my jet-setting & Tech-savvy expectations. I would highly suggest it to friends traveling for Biz or Pleasure in SF, and I plan to return. The location is perfect for getting almost anywhere in The City quickly and also provides everything you need if you prefer not to Uber / Lyft / Waymo away from this lively neighborhood. The “Virtual” front desk | Lobby Bar | Concierge platform uses Silicon Valley level Technology and provides the perfect blend of AI & Human integration from the convenient booking all the way through the streamlined checkout process. This brilliant concept property combines modern, artistic and high quality designs & amenities that are equally as convenient as they are unique. I hope to see this Hotel-meets-Airbnb option in more of the cities that I frequent … well done Hotel Castro!

Nice stay but not a fan of remote front desk My mother and mother in law needed a place to crash around the corner from where we lived, and this was the closest property. Pros- great location, comfortable room, beautiful view from rooftop terrace. Cons- if you’re not tech savvy, the self check in and navigating the rooms/elevators is tricky. The elevator code didn’t work at first, which required a call to Kasa to fix. I consider myself pretty tech savvy and even I felt a little lost. Took a little bit of figuring out the blinds and lights as well. If I hadn’t been helping my relatives they would have had trouble getting in. So, great hotel and spot, but too reliant on remotely operated self check in/out. If you’re super tech savvy probably not an issue
