10/10 Exceptional
I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS ABOUT THIS PLACE.
Awesome. View from my window below of East Liberty Presbyterian Church.
Stunning city scape view. Even from 3rd floor.. Amazing building, one of a kind boutique. 2nd stay there. Had a go to Airbnb in Bloomfield but Kasa is 10x nicer for 20 a night more.
Short walk to Friendship, Shadyside, Google plex, Bakery Square.
10 min drive/UBER to Oakland/universities Little Italy, Lawrenceville, Morningside, Highland Park, Squirrel Hill.. 15 min drive or transit to downtown if you don't mind rapid bus.
Classy- coffee table books, nice retro fridge, SUPER COMFY BED omg SO COMFY. I loved the bed- my gf didn't but ymmv.
Check out the gym if you can, amazing vintage 1970s decor from when it was a YMCA.
Building is NOT open to public. You have to buzz in with a code number. Feels VERY SAFE.
A few FYI- not negative but FYI
There is no garage, valet, etc. Meters on street or at library. I personally would secure or hide valuables.
The area is very walkable. There's night spots, a load of eateries. The neighborhood looks rough- its MUCH safer than it looks... its just OLD- BUT be aware of surroundings esp if you are not familiar with the area, or walking at night- if in doubt take uber or drive.
You're next to a church and a public library. Youll probably encounter a homeless person or two, or someone who wants you to join their religion. Use your own judgment on both.
Two things- lobby bar would ABSOLUTELY ROCK, and paper cups with lkds for coffee "to go"
