Rare clean comfy find This was the cutest room to stay in! Beautiful bathroom, extremely nice, very clean! I loved loved loved the counter/bar! I need that at home! Bed was comfy, room was adequately set up for the upmost comfort and me and my daughter thoroughly enjoyed the stay, thank you, if need to stay somewhere again we will be back!

I loved staying at the Maverick by Kasa. The room was clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The check in formation was clear and precise and was given to me at a timely manner which made the whole process very convenient. I will definitely stay at a kasa again!

Nice little spot for the money. Room came with a nice tub, check in and check out was seamless. Low fees. Biggest gripe would be the bed, which had an odd selection of pillows and which hurt my back. Also, no traditional front desk has both pros and cons. I would definitely be back for the price, but might not be my first choice.

Great location Really great location, just around the corner from a lot of great places to eat. The hotel was quiet and clean. Plenty of hot water, and good pressure. It's definitely an older building, but there weren't any problems. There actually was a concierge here during the day, which was a pleasant surprise.

Terrible Where to start? Because the property does not have an actual front desk, we were supposed to receive an email with a code for the door. We did not. After spending 20 minutes on hold I finally talked to someone and after another 15 minutes finally got the code and then had to send a picture of my driver’s license and a selfie. Then, there is no on-site parking and there were no parking spaces available on the street. So we had to pay to park in a lot a block away. Thankfully the torrential downpour we drove through had stopped by then. The bed was very hard and low - on a platform about 6 inches off the ground. And good luck to the person that has to sleep by the wall. There is no floor space on that side so it makes it very difficult to get up in the middle of the night. And there is not an outlet on the other side. Fortunately we always carry an extension cord which we had to use in order to plug in my phone. I did contact Kasa and let them know of my frustration and only got a “non-apology” with excuses. Needless to say, we will never stay at another Kasa property.

Not your fanciest hotel it used to be an old YMCA which has some cool aspects to it. None of your typical amenities but overall decent room. Just overall has an older feel to the building and rooms.

Lovely place in Pittsburgh. An old YMCA, with original staircases etc. The rooms are a quirky, modern vibe. Very happy with our stay. Room had a small fridge, separate freezer, a safe, coffee maker & electric teapot. They give you some bottled water & cookies(yum) as a welcome. Comfy bed, great pillows! Can’t wait to stay in another Kasa.

We stayed for one night and it was perfect for short stays. Check was SO easy. The parking situation isn’t the best, so if you are traveling via car be aware of that. Overall, the staff was friendly, the stay was comfortable and offered everything needed and was very walkable and close to good restaurants and cafes. Also some rooms have a nice view of the beautiful architectural church right across the street.

Clean room when I got in and everything was there and accesible. Privacy was excellent and customer service helped out with all my check in needs. This is a great spot if you don't want to be in the direct downtown but still close and have options around. Easy to use public transport. Would however emphasize it is self check in so do not expect a front desk or daily cleaning service.

Overall the hotel was nice. A few things that I didn't like about the hotel was that there wasn't a restaurant or laundry on site! Also, my reservation was for 6 nights and I was charged $35 for housekeeping to come & clean my room mid-week.I feel that if someone stays more than 3 days, than mid-week cleaning should be included.

We had the best stay-cation at this property - the builidng it amazing and the guest room was incredibly comfortable and loved the design elements. This place is a gem in the neighborhood and will definitely be back.

When we got there, we got there early and they told us they would watch our bags. When we came back in an hour and a half later to check in our bags were just sitting in the hall with nobody watching them. Our bathtub did not seal correctly, so we were not able to take a bath. Also, there was a bar downstairs and it posted outside a big sign but they said their food and beverage company had left so it was just an empty bar. It would’ve been a lot more fun with a bar downstairs.It is a virtual hotel so service is not as good. I felt it was in a fun neighborhood and a safe place to stay though.

The description gives a reasonable person an expectation that it is truly a studio home being rented (especially because that’s the word used in the description (which I think is misleading but perhaps others are used to finding hotels on Airbnb). But it’s more like an unstaffed hotel. It’s odd to have to lug your luggage through steps and two sets of doors and deal with codes when you have luggage and no door person to help you with the door. It was gross to find multiple stains on the cushions of the windows so I did not sit on those. There was no luggage rack and therefore no dedicated spot to put luggage since I refused to place my items on the questionable stains on the cushions. Additionally, the tissues in the tissue box were all balled up and looked used. You also need to pull your phone out to open your room door every time, which was annoying to not be able to use a card if it’s truly a hotel or a numeric code if it’s an AirBNB. Fire alarms were tested during stay - rough.

Stayed here twice now while visiting our son at UPitt. Very cool rooms, spotless, great design,quiet. It's walkable to lots of restaurants and coffee. Easy to find parking near by. Beds are comfy.

The Maverick by Kasa had a Great Vibe! I flew in from NY for the Pitt Parent Weekend. It was not far from campus and in a nice area. The room was extremely clean and the decor was tastefully done. I will definitely come back.
