6/10 Rating
Honest review after a two month extended stay.
Pros:
-Walkable location near many attractions of Denver.
-Airbnb style apartments
-Decently stocked with plates, forks, knives, etc. although they will not provide anything extra that is missing (e.g baking dish) or restock consumables (dish washing pods or trash bags)
-Outdoor gas grill and gym available for use
Concerns:
-The pool was closed for repairs for our entire stay. It wasn’t disclosed at booking, and it was a major bummer to have the pool out of commission for all of peak summer. Managements response was to offer a credit of $100 and suggested we visit the local rec center to use their pool.
-Our room #420, was poorly lit and the furniture was uncomfortable. The carpet had stains on it, as did the mattress. Pro tip: If you can, request a unit that faces the street (vs the interior courtyard and pool) for better natural lighting.
-The exterior door to the building on 18th St is not hung properly so it scrapes against the tile floor and makes an ear piercing screech when it’s opened slowly. As you continue out the door, the smell of pet waste hits you in the face as if you’re at a dog park. Building management needs to attend to this.
- Kasa managed to find the world’s worst Samsung TVs in the room. No cable subscription, so no live TV or sports. You’ll need to log into your own apps to watch anything. The TVs are slow and the one in the bedroom was tiny.
