I went to check out the rooftop with some friends. Incredible views and a really cool old school Hollywood decor. The architecture felt like I was taking a step back in time.

The rooftop bar was a nice spot for my friend's birthday brunch. It would have been even better if we could have ordered brunch off the downstairs menu, but for drinks and bar bites it was lovely.

Loved the location and the atmosphere. If you are a hipster you better hop on over and check out the beautiful furniture and amazing art in the lobby and restaurant. The beds were slightly more comfortable than the pillows you are clearly will never be able to steal! My only complaint is the "dipping pool" that is nothing more than a giant hot tub that isn't always as hot as it outta be. Also thanks for not calling the cops on our huge party!

Rooftop jacuzzi was great. Would be nice if every floor had ice machines though, but it is kinda old and quaint. Had a great time at the rooftop bar.

Went to the Upstairs rooftoop bar. Super cool vibe with the occasional pretentious overdressed patron. Drinks are a little pricey but it's expected. If you get there early evening (5ish) you can get a beautiful sunset view without the overly eager late night crowd. Cool spot.

The Ace Hotel has a wonderful roof top bar, the bartenders are noligiabl, the have local craft beers that change on occasion. Very friendly place with great views.

First time going to the Upstairs Bar at the Ace Hotel during the daytime and it was the most perfect relaxing quintessential-LA experience with delicious drinks! Expect to pay close to or just under $15 a drink and we did not get food because it tends to ruin pricey but the cocktail price is worth it for the atmosphere

I didn't see any rooms, from what I saw of hallways on my way up to the rooftop bar it was sort of creepy, in the vein of ghost-ship. The rooftop bar, however, was clean, nice, hip, and happening.

Were there to see The Pixies perform. Great sound and beautiful theater. Bar was slow and poorly placed, leading to huge bottlenecks in the lobby area. Drinks, however, weren't too outrageously priced for being a captive audience.

The service has been polite and helpful, they have assisted with any questions I have had with helpful responses. Location is about 0.7 miles from the LA convention center which is convenient. Rooms are slightly smaller than previously experienced (though first trip to LA). Rooms are more "modern", and location is currently surrounded by renovations (streets and buildings).

Standard size room is comfortable but strange. Toilet is in what looks like a coat closet by the door. Shower has no curtain or door, and bed is very low to the ground and against the wall at the foot of the bed, allowing no wiggle room for a tall person. Amenities and atmosphere are cool and historic. Best for younger people or short people.

The mezzanine here is unique. A great way to find a quiet seat overlooking the beautiful chaos of the morning/afternoon below. The rooftop is also nice, compact, but well put together. Great staff and easy parking. This newer (2014) location will quickly become an essential element of the DTLA experience for visitors and natives alike.
