8/10 Very good
Stile is really nice. The room was moderately sized with a very small restroom. The aesthetic style of the room was quite nice and they managed to fit a desk, bed, tv, etc all into a small little space without feeling overcrowded. The toilet paper is barely passable. The room was clean and comfortable. The shower has no shower door which means a lot of water ends up outside the shower. The shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were some of the very best I've used from a hotel. Lather well, smell good.
One elevator was down but we were allowed to use the service elevator, even still it was a long wait for a ride to and from our room.
Check in and check out is incredibly easy as it was all handled online. We were also able to drop off our bags before checking in and pick them up later when our room was ready which was very nice. Room access and night access to the building were code based instead of key card based.
Other amenities:
Avoid the rooftop bar. It's insanely expensive and loud. Unless you're into overpaying for drinks and the worst chips and salsa you've ever seen. It was around 12 dollars for their chips and salsa which just ended up being about an ounce of tostitos salsa and a quarter bag of tostitos chips. There is a pool on the roof as part of the rooftop bar. The views from the roof are cool.
There is laundry and a fitness room with filtered water station that had quite good water on the 4th floor. The laundry costs money to do. There is an attached coffee shop in the first floor that looked like it had some tasty treats.
Locationally this place is right in the heart of downtown LA which has its pros and cons. Easy access to a lot of things. Grand Central Market (food hall) is right down the street, easily accessed by bus or even just a short walk. The cons end up being the smell of urine quite often. If you want an even closer food option there is a Mexican food stall that serves delicious street tacos and the like.
