Likes: The staff were all brilliant. Everyone was very professional and friendly. The bed was super comfortable, and there were enough towels and storage space. And the location was fantastic - really easy to access bus/metro routes, and to find places to eat. Dislikes: The water in the shower took a long time to get warm. Also getting the access codes via email the day of check-in is problematic for international visitors. I struggled to access my emails initially. It was fine because the concierge let me in, but it could have been an issue if there were no members of staff on the front door.

STILE Downtown is located conveniently in the city, with plenty of options for food, drinks, and things to do within walking distance. The hotel is clean and the staff are friendly - checking in/out, your room information, and hotel requests are all managed through text or email and it is very convenient and intuitive to use. Any time I had a request for something my room needed, I would text the front desk and it was accommodated within the hour. I stayed in one of the rooms with a balcony and it was great - would highly recommend. In terms of parking a vehicle, there are quite a few parking garages + lots nearby you can choose from

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. My room was not as pictured online AT ALL. The photos online showed a spacious room with two large windows. What I walked into was a TINY room, barely big enough for the queen bed to fit in. With one very small window that faced the alley. There was one power outlet across the room - so nowhere to charge your phone within reach while in bed. The carpet was stained and dirty. The walls were stained and dirty. I didn’t even want to take my shoes off. I let this go because I was only staying 2 nights. Upon checkout, I mentioned this to the front desk and the woman working said (yeah, we get that a LOT). This is not the only issue that arose. 2 days after returning home, I noticed a $219 charge on my card. I had paid in full for the room through Expedia, and upon checkout, there was no mention made of a balance owed. I called Stile to ask about this charge, and not a single person there could give me an answer. I’m still waiting on an email from their billing department 3 days later. Finally, the street that Stile is on is absolutely disgusting. Literal human waste EVERYWHERE. It is not safe at all. Every business front is covered in plywood, it looks like you’re walking around in post-apocalyptic LA. I am begging you to reconsider staying here. Nothing about it is worth your money.

It’s obvious the rooms are as low budget made as possible but the quality is still good and it’s right in the center of everything. It was great.

DO NOT SHARE A ROOM WITH ANYONE UNLESS YOU'RE EXTREMELY CLOSE WITH THEM. ZERO PRIVACY. The shower had no curtain or door at all, so water gets all over the floor and anyone in the room can see you. There's no fan in the toilet closet, so you hear everything. The room was set up extremely weirdly, with the headboard in the middle of the room and the TV at the foot of the bed. The bed is also extremely low to the ground. No blackout curtains either, so if you're facing the street, lights from the apartment across the street will keep you up all night. If you're sensitive to noise, you will have a rough time sleeping here, though they did have earplugs hidden in the room if you needed them. The carpet is old and stained to hell. This place didn't even have a clock, a microwave, or a phone to call the front desk if needed. Stayed here 3 nights and not once did maid service come through with fresh towels, extra toilet paper, or to get rid of trash. You definitely pay for the location; it's in the heart of downtown LA, which comes with its own issues. For a supposedly 4 star hotel, I expected more.

Super great stay! It was right on broadway which has a lot to do all in walking distance. The room was clean and the ambience of the place was very comfortable and lively.

The shower is open and in the literal middle of the room, no privacy at all. The door to the toilet has a big gap in it. Frankie at the front desk however was very welcoming and nice. The rooftop is also beautiful but the food wasn’t great at all. Convenient spot for where we needed to go though. I just wouldn’t recommend the room if you’re staying with friends… more like for couples.

Having worked in hotel hospitality and being particularly particular about my hotel stays, I have a high bar when it comes to my hotel lodging, and Kasa DTLA exceeded that bar! I was there last week on a 3-night staycation and I'm so pleased with my visit. From customer service to the room itself, everything from start to finish was great. I booked a King Suite and it was marvelous! It felt like a large studio equipped with a great working space, a couch, a small kitchenette, and a huge bathroom with a lush stand-alone bathtub (I would come back for this alone haha) and marvelous Korean toiletries, including masks! The rooftop pool and bar were also a great plus. I will definitely come back. I am so happy with my stay at this property I booked a Kasa property for my next staycation! One thing to note, as some people have noted before, the carpet does need a bit of a clean, but that would not deter me from coming back. Also, to note, it can get loud at night during the weekends- this is expected in the DTLA area, so just be mindful of that as well. I did not have an issue with the noise; I was exhausted by the end of each day! They provided a white noise machine in the room, and that helped a great deal with lulling me to sleep LOL. If the Manager or Owner is reading this, please give my many thanks to Natalie who checked me into my room and did my checkout as well. I was so frazzled the day I checked in (I had two reservations and was so worried I would not be able to merge them), but she fixed that immediately. She was warm and friendly, and I sincerely appreciate her kindness. It makes a difference and it set a wonderful tone for a wonderful stay.

The hotel was very outdated, the room had a carpet very filthy.

We didnt have roomservice on any day that we stayed there, no fresh towels, from thursday to sunday rooftop Partys with non hotelguests and no place for hotelguests on the Pool. The room is pretty standard but overall mediocre hotel and more of a party location.

If you need a place to say that doesn’t break the bank, but equally as nice. This is your place. I stayed here for one night and I’m more than impressed with the service, virtual check in/out, and overall experience. Their rooftop bar and pool is cute. It may not be the biggest bar and pool, but it’s still worth checking out. The views of the surrounding area is nice and IG story worthy lol the neighborhood might not be the best or the cleanest but i didn’t really mind it. Just mind your business and get to where you need to be 😂 I’d definitely book with STILE again

Pros and cons Pros- the staff onsite were SOO nice and the building was absolutely beautiful with its architecture and decor. So neat!!! Rooms were unique with beautiful views. Location was close to our venue and uber rides were always less than 3 minutes wait. Liked that there was the rooftop bar and pool- was a great experience. Also liked the keyless entry to hotel, elevator and room. Cons- dislike their check in system- they want copies of your drivers license and credit card uploaded which I said I wanted to do onsite however continuously got text messages about it. Loved the music on rooftop, but it went til 2am and we could hear it on the 10th floor- they did provide earplugs but we didn’t see them until the next day. Day of check out, housekeeping kept coming to our room knocking- first time was at 9am and check out not till 11am. Also with mentioning… parking is around the corner. The lot that is recommended was all locked up when we checked out (around 10am on a Sunday) which resulted in a big of panic- there was no way to get inside to our car. Another person was there freaking out as well. FINALLY, one of the locked doors opened and we were able to get inside before the door closed.

The STILE is our go to place to stay when out of town! Everything can be done online or via text with the STILE team. The rooms with the balcony’s are the best, you can come in and out of your private room to see the city lights and activity. The trendy industrial vibe of the rooms with all you need for a stay away, and right across the street is a market for anything else you may need. There is a rooftop pool and a cafe in the lobby. The parking you do pay for, $30 for 16 hrs of private parking, all close and convenient to the front entrance. We just checked out and we are already looking forward to our next stay at The STILE!

Very loud hotel, have to ask for towels, lady handling check in was rude. I have two rooms booked and paid for early check in and still had to wait. Never got reimbursed.

Thank you for a great stay. The room was neat and clean. The location was perfect for me. I was able to walk to the convention center and having Little Tokyo near was a plus! I also liked having rental bikes nearby.

Photos of room are not accurate whatsoever. My room looked nothing like the photos. Carpet was dirty and stained. There was only one outlet across the room from the bed.

This is an interesting property. Parts of the building are very pretty and decorative. Other parts of the property are very industrial looking with cement blocks showing and a smooth cement floor. Additionally, the bed is very low to the floor. It takes some getting used to. It also uses a virtual front desk. Although there are still people at the front desk, you are often told to communicate via the virtual front desk. I believe that virtual desk is powered by AI. As a result, there are problems. For example, housekeeping had neglected to give us towels so we asked the virtual desk for them. We were told they would be sent immediately. No towels arrived so we reached out again. Although an apology was provided, we still never received the towels and had to get towels from the pool. Overall, it was an average stay. The best part of the hotel is the rooftop pool. It is really pretty and relaxing. Additionally, the hotel was walking distance to the convention center.

Cute Industrial-themed hotel (?) with a nice cafe area downstairs and water offered to guests near the elevators. The lack of a door to close the shower and the windows into the shower are a little weird if you're not super familiar with your roommates, but fine for couples and close friends! As this is more an Airbnb-style run place, note that there is no housekeeping service like a usual hotel, but the staff were always super friendly, reachable by text, and ready to provide extra linens/towels/etc. at the front desk. Bring house slippers because the yellow carpets and concrete-floor mix of the rooms is a little rough on the feet.

Good service/housekeeping, friendly staff, the pillows and beds were great, the shower was pleasant and easy to operate. No noise problems on our end. A good place to stay!
