Likes: Great location, staff were friendly. Dislikes: The room was not the same as I booked. Asked the staff about this and questioned why my room was smaller they said that’s just a standard room, they could move me but it will be the same. Disappointed that I didn’t get what I paid for and the pictured room is a completely different suite essentially- false advertising.

The building is nice but the area isn't the best, only be in downtown LA if you have to be. Had many issues with the WiFi that never fully resolved but got a little better. Pretty small one bedroom place, the pictures definitely make it look bigger.

Absolutely wonderful hotel DTLA. I was skeptical because of some of the reviews, but the rooms, the property, the location, the staff… Everything was fabulous. And I’m pretty picky. Parking was easy, offered right next door to hotel, food was yummy, walking distance to so much.

I loved the hotel and its position in LA. Everything that I wanted to see was in close proximity to it. The room was clean, light and airy and had fresh towels and soap when I arrived. TV was also great, and the room included a safe to store valuables in which was good. The ceilings and floors are concrete, so the soundproofing is perfect. It's nice and peaceful, and I slept really well. It's easy to get around and go to places like the Hollywood Walk of Fame and Universal Studios - you simply get on the Pershing red line and you're there!! Plus, you can see so many filming locations of great movies like Ghostbusters, Chinatown and Blade Runner within walking distance. This really is a town for cinephiles. I would definitely go back on my next trip to LA.

Likes: I miss the level of thoughtfulness of the ace. Too automated. Every time I extended my stay I had to go through a whole pain-in-the-ass process to check in again and ended up giving 3 or 4 $250 deposits since I need to extend a few times. The upstairs bar is sad (it used to be such a happening place). Dislikes: Thanks to the hotel they inherited from the ace the rooms are incredibly stylish and well-appointed. But it's lost it's soul. The weird soda-bottle sculpture in the lobby is one example of a real lack of taste/care.

Very well priced, refurbished classic building, good coffee (free) and very friendly staff. No one at front desk for late check in, you have to check in on line by taking a picture of both sides of your ID and filling out a bit of info and you receive a code to the front door and a code for your room. Room is what I would call industrial chic. Downtown LA there is not the most appealing place but there are good dining and shops nearby.

For my first time staying there, they had me sold with how easy check in was. The location is perfect with lots of parking options; you’d actually be surprised how lucky you can get with street parking. The tacos are very very small. I could see the Jesus save sign right out my window. I liked the pool because there was barely anyone there. Overall, a good experience!

The room was in terrible condition. Furniture falling apart, musty, mold on ceiling, bed practically on the floor, toilet in a closet. Is this even to code?? I did not stay longer than 5 minutes. I requested a refund but was told to write to reservations or to reach out to Expedia since the payment to the hotel from Expedia hadn’t come through. I haven’t received a response yet from Stile hotel - days later. The property is completely misrepresented on Expedia. It is not a 4 star hotel. Prob a 1 star. I also reached out to Expedia and shared that the property was misrepresented on their site but Expedia only offered $25 towards a future stay and contradicted what the receptionist at the hotel said about funds not coming through from Expedia. I’m very disappointed and would like to request a refund from either Stiles hotel or Expedia. I had to book another hotel at the last minute and my stay in LA was double wgat id reserved for my visit. I’d appreciate any help to recoup my funds.

The front desk staff were so great from holding luggage to being super helpful to all guests. They always had recommendations on where to go, eat or shop and truly felt genuine in wanting to ensure you enjoyed your stay. I loved the room, though the shower is open to the room. If you are a fan of ACE hotels you’ll love it. The rooftop is awesome. Thank you for a great week!

The room was amazing, and once you get the hang of using the code for the elevator and room, it was a breeze to get in and out. The only negative is I wish there was parking on location versus having to walk a bit to get to the overnight parking structure.

disappointing Likes: The bed was comfortable. The room had its own thermostat which was nice and the windows had blackout curtains. The shower was also very good. Dislikes: 1. The rooms view was of the industrial equipment. YUCK 2. I plugged my phone in where the TV outlet was and when I pulled it out it fell apart and sparks flew! I thought there might be a fire. I feel the hotel should have done more to compensate me at this point but all I got was a new room. 3. 4. 5. The keypad entry for the front door, elevator and room sucked It never worked properly. 6. They advertise water where the ice machine was , which was four floors down from my room. There was no filtered water. 7. The pool area was kind of gross. I expected a roof top pool with a bar but the bar is only open Thurs - Sunday.

The stay was mostly enjoyable. The communication could have been better, but overall the place was nice… a bit rustic looking. There were many restaurants and shopping areas nearby. The check-in process was easy to follow and they gave friendly reminders when you can check-in and check-out. The only downside is that the parking is not included if you book through Airbnb. This was not mentioned earlier and we had to pay $35 a night for a parking nearby. Overall, we still had a great time.
