First off, the check-in process was very convenient so props to that. However, STILE DTLA is one of those “big brain” modern finance-bro ideas where they think they can go as cheap and lazy as possible and guests will accept it as “trendy” or “hip.” The rooms look like what a hostel room would look like in the 90s. Unadorned, unaesthetic, and revamped-prison-like. A $6 China ball is the main lamp? Seriously? A fridge that doesn’t work unless you kick it. A bed literally squished in between a desk and the wall with the TV hovering 2 inches above your feet when you sleep. A bathroom door that rolls but doesn’t really close. A window that doesn’t really close (it’s just blocked from opening all the way by a metal bar). Concrete floors and bare ceilings. All of this would be fine if the hotel was $45 a night. But no; it’s priced the same as a regular hotel, if not more. I usually don’t go harsh like this but I’m sick of places masquerading as “hip” to hide how cheap they are.

Just had a one night stay for a concert downtown, but it was very convenient and clean. Would definitely stay again if I needed too

The rooftop and pool were amazing, the view too. I also liked the industrial design, even though the room was already a little run down with stains on the carpet and furniture. However, I was not super satisfied with the stay. On the weekend, the music from the bar on the top floor made its way three floors down and insisted to keep me awake until 2am. When I complained that night, one employee seriously asked me if I knew the hotel had a bar. I didn't know it had a club.. Another employee offered me a refund and a different room on a lower floor in the morning (v nice, thank you). He told me that you can hear the noise from the 12th floor to the 8th floor. So if you don't want your pillow to be shaken by the bass, you should go for a lower floor.

Easy, comfy and ideal ☺️ Likes: Mostly everything, it was comfortable and very neat. Security all the time so you felt secure. Dislikes: Some of the surroundings were a bit unsafe but the hotel itself was very safe and secure

A Decent Room If All You Need Is A Room To Crash In Likes: The bed was actually comfortable. The bathroom was clean. It wasn't crowded. The keypad access was good. Good access to nearby spots. It was close to our venue/destination. Dislikes: The room was noisy from the streets and neighbors. The windows were paper thin so you could easily hear the homeless fighting or vehicles driving. The hotel room had an exposed concrete ceiling which gave it a very damn and musty feeling.

It was my first time in LA and staying at STILE was the perfect place. It was comfortable, kept clean and felt safe in the building. When I return to LA I will definitely book my stay again at STILE.

First, the bad (which isn’t much). The concrete ceiling caught me off guard when I walked in the room, the TV is a little clunky, and the shower has neither a door nor a mat, so there is a slip hazard if you shower for longer than 15 minutes and inevitably let the water out. Besides that, the room felt fresh, the AC worked great, there was good service, and the code security is nice as well if you know what LA is like. I got in very early compared to my check-in time, so the guy at the desk let me drop off my bag while I went around and explored. The check-in process itself was very quick, and the checkout was automatic which meant I could walk out on the last day of my stay without having to do anything. Overall, Stile is a quick and convenient hotel that also provides a very nice experience for its price. This might become my regular hotel in DTLA.

Great design, good location, excellent price. Likes: Convenient, compelling location (albeit socio-economically bleak). Nice design. Comfortable and functional. Helpful staff. Laundry room was very helpful. Dislikes: Nothing I disliked. Totally ideal.

It was a great place to stay, definitely a must if you’re looking for something flexible and comfortable.

The hotel is great, friendly staff and convenient cafe. Bring your own pillows as theirs aren’t great.

Likes: the style of the room with this view of the lights of the buildings for waking up. the equipment. welcome products Dislikes: the breakfast downstairs lacks fresh fruit juice and the croissants are not good. The chocolat croissant either.we know in advance that they are dry and hard. not fresh. the coffee is really too strong even in the cappuccino. I'm French so I can recognize a good croissant. It lacks indications and proposals from the reception. We saw on the last evening that there was a nice rooftop but it was already closed. Too bad

Location is in the middle of everything that you may need also public transportations are all around you for anywhere you want to go!

The property is well located and a relatively cheap option in LA, but the room is small and the decor rather industrial.

The room had no dresser drawers, no microwave, no ironing board, no nightstands, no cafe. One elevator was working. Did not match the picture presented on website. Ugly, cheap furniture in the room. The rest of the hotel was charming and staff were sweet and quick to respond. The location was great.

Very disappointing stay. The hotel had a noticeable unpleasant odor, suggesting poor cleanliness. To make things worse, the staff was rude and unhelpful, creating a hostile atmosphere. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming experience.

Great place to stay

Cool rooms, amazing rooftop pool - location is spot on (read review for more) Likes: The hotel is located in DTLA, not far from both Pico station and 7th/Metro. The Convention Center is about 20 minutes away on foot. The location was perfect for what I needed and wanted, and I didn't find it dangerous at night at all The rooms are great, with a strange but cool hipster-esque vibe to them. The view from the room, and in some cases literally from your bed (I think the layout changes from room to room) is amazing, with sunset and sunrise right in front of you. The rooms are large enough, and you get plenty of free water, tea and coffee included in the price. There's a rooftop pool, it's not large or deep, but it's good enough, and the view, again, is amazing. You also have a rooftop bar, a lounge bar and a cafe in the same building. The price is okay for the location and for what you get Dislikes: The coffee/tea mugs in my room hadn't been washed properly, and one of the (many) towels, the smallest one, hadn't been washed properly either, with traces of somebody's lipstick on it. But I read a lot of reviews before booking and there a couple of recurring criticisms and I want to address one: location. The location was perfect for me, but that's because I like DTLA, and the fact that it can be a bit dodgy, (it has always been like that) doesn't bother me. However, I know that some people just feel uncomfortable in DTLA sort of by default because it definitely has a certain vibe to it so bear that in mind

The Hotel is super cute old building in down town LA close to the Sante Alleys. The room needed to be dusted and it looked like there was blood/ketchup on the bathroom floor. The view was amazing, (that’s why I didn’t ask to move rooms)the room setup was cute, beds were comfortable.

I had a wonderful experience here. It was clean and beautiful and I was made to feel that I belonged there traveling by myself. I could not have made a better choice in a place to stay. I am very grateful.

WORST check-in experience EVER!!! We stood outside in the cold, stench of urine, unsafe with sketchy people walking by. No access to enter and no one answers the emergency service number. The hotel has a fully automated check in system which is very buggy and did not work for us. Extremely frustrating after arriving from a long trip. THIS IS IN NO WAY A 4 ⭐️ HOTEL. This is what I would expect from a hostel. Would not recommend and will never return.

Clean and easy to access

Great experience. Staff was very kind and helpful. Loved the way to do check in and out! Super recommended.

Nice clean rooms. The staff were friendly and helpful. The parking garage suggested was $15.00 for 12 hours, and that seems like a great deal for #DTLA for me. The pool is nice and the view from the pool area gives a great view of the city. The pool isn’t heated, but was nice for soaking sore feet after a lot of concrete trekking, and the temp is probably perfect for a hot day. There is a nice wine bar at the roof level with a beautiful atrium area. Very nice place with basic amenities.

I enjoyed staying here. It was convenient for a concert next door. I did find some hairs and my unit was specifically cold and the heat would not kick on.
