8/10 Very good
Enjoyed this gem in the heart of the theatre district!
Likes: Great little balcony room on the 8th floor, big windows give tones of light, but good blinds to block light out. Nice to look down Broadway and towards The Orpheum theatre.
Great keyless entry system, other than at first it said high five to access, but didn't realize we literally had to high five the pad before the keys lit up! Also love the ability to unlock your room from your phone, and put on the do not disturb button.
Beauty of a rooftop, set up with a pool table, a very small pool, fireplace, and lots of tables/games/sitting area.
Main floor has a great sitting area, coffee shop and bar, reminds me of a Citizen M setup, except I think this looks more cozy and hip. Parking garage they recommend is right across the street and worth the $30 USD per 24 hours( although there are no IN and OUT privileges with parking.
King bed was super comfy and low profile.
17 minute walk to the Metro so for us was a bonus
Dislikes: While the bed was super comfy, I prefer a firmer pillow, and these were still fine, but softer.
The room is set up like a bachelor pad and is very functional , the TV position is not great. The bed faces the window but the TV is this case was on the wall to the right of us. Hard to watch TV in bed when it's not in front of you, and there is only 1 kitchen style chair.
It was very noisy at night from street traffic and the bars. While they do provide a white noise machine and earplugs( which I've never seen before, so kudos to them!) if you are a light sleeper, now you know!
Can be sketchy walking and with the homeless, but hey, that's a lot of places in L.A.
