First off the room was very nice, the hotel staff was really great and the location was good too (somewhat). However, before our arrival I had about 10 different emails asking for everything from copy of drivers license's, for both myself and my guest, and all types of verifications and offers to "check in early" for about $50. It was intrusive and borderd on obnoxious. I felt like I was being interigated by the police and was guilty of someting. The location is great for Frenchman Street but across from the hotel is a bar and empty building which seemed to be a hangout for homeless and drug addicts (we walked by a guy shooting up). None of them bother us or did we feel threathed but it was a bit unseemly.
